@@Galaxy-Dior In the early 2000s, SM was in a bad place because of the disbandment of H.O.T. (first ever idol group and their biggest money maker). While they still have other groups that are successful, they don't generate as much income as H.O.T. did. Also, most of the first-generation groups had disbanded or were on the verge of disbandment because their contracts were about to expire. BoA was contacted by SM when she won in a dance competition. At 13 years old, she debuted and was so successful that SM gambled and took BoA to the Japan to just try if they can penetrate through the Japanese market. BoA gained massive success and her popularity translated back to the Korean market as well, establishing the then teenager as the sole breadwinner of SM, prior to TVXQ getting their big break. BoA's success lead to the debut of TVXQ and SJ. She saved SM and became the reason for the Kpop's entrance to the Japanese market.

Hyuna and Dawn (Cube), and Taeyeon and Baekhyun (SM), for example. If people want to start rumours, they will. It's a bit sad, as for the most part, groups have stopped reacting to each other. Apart from SM artists, of course. They truly behave like siblings. And some second generation YG artists are more carefree. CL from 2ne1 was very close with Big Bang, and they behaved like annoying older brothers to her LOL

NcT didn’t build the new one though. Exo was sm biggest money from 2013 to 2018, 6 years In a row, not only physical sales digital sales/stream/merch sales,etc exo contributed huge amount of money, growl was national smash hit song when they were still rookie. Sm started to invest in NcT for five years until last year they started to have some recognitions, don’t forget how much money sm invested in them in their rookie time. What SM has that no other company don't is that they are visioner. They always one step ahead of other companies. They don't follow the trend. They're the trend setter. Other companies try to create 'the better version' of existing kpop groups, while SM always try to create something new that kpop never have before. This is so interesting to me. They also don't seem care about cheap rumours, dating 'scandal', but they take care of malicious comments in silent.

The way SUJU tricked Seulgi on SuperTV 😂 She's hopeless and laughed endlessly cause she knows how her oppas are 😂
