I believe that most of us agree with you. I was ten when it came out. Didn't care much about this song. Loved rock and metal songs there but rap and hip-hop went past me. Metalhead by heart and raised by one. But now when I'm 30 i come back to those good ol' days and just literally go back 20 years in time whenever I close my eyes and tune my precious supra MK4.

When I buy actual cars today, this song still gets stuck in my head.

I've come back to the NFSU2 soundtrack after a long, long time and I immediately noticed (and cackled tbh) This song, every few words is censored. Half of LAX is censored, too. (They muted out 'gun', ffs) But then Lean Back starts up and it's "YEAH! MY NIGGAS!"

The soundtrack is part of the things that made this game so good and popular. Nowadays these "advanced graphics" and shitty customization plus the stupid game modes make the 2012+ NFSs hated. I don't think that the new NFS will solve any of these problems. Time has changed.

this game isn't just my favorite need for speed for gameplay, but the entire soundtrack is great, and now the newer games have terrible British songs and dubstep. this is probably amongst the greatest racing games of all time

Underground 2 is my favourite nfs because of the soundtrack. Nitrous blasting, car looking like its flying at 2000mph, neon lights big ass spoiler and fire decals looking cool af with sly Boogy That'z My Name breaking the speakers. Might have to buy a PS2 just to go back.
