Slovakia’s PM Robert Fico shot in assassination attempt
Robert Fico, Slovakia’s pro-Russian prime minister, is in a “life-threatening” condition after being shot, the government has said.
According to the Dennik media outlet, Mr Fico was shot in an assassination attempt outside the House of Culture where a government meeting was being held.
Mr Fico was speaking to people outside the building when several shots were fired, causing him to fall to the ground, according to reports.
Four shots were fired and one struck Mr Fico, the state broadcaster said.

@@ptrekboxbreaks5198 because Slovakia was recently the most skeptical member for the visegrad 4, a major new power forming in Central Europe that is anti Russia but also becoming anti EU, their economies are growing and some nations are starting to turn and support them (Austria, for exmaple). They are a threat to the local established elites (Russians, Euros, Americans). Slovakia had a change of heart and voted in a pro visegrad PM instead of a pro EU/American one, likely they want to get rid of him so the visegrad doesn't grow any more than it has already. I wouldn't doubt if Orban or Duda are next.

What were the bodyguards doing, just hopping around? After the first shot, they should react within a second due to their training and form shields on the right and in front. However, they were strangely loose around him, and the whole situation looked extremely foolish. They let a 70-year-old man fire 4-5 times over maybe 20 seconds, and then about a minute later, in the footage, they were all hyped up on adrenaline, flitting around like crazed butterflies. But it was pointless, so they quickly stuffed him into a car.
