Slovak PM Robert Fico shooting suspect charged with attempted murder | BBC News
A man has been charged with the attempted murder of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
The alleged assailant has not been formally named, but local reports have widely identified him as a 71-year-old from the town of Levice.
Reports say he could face up to life in prison.
The politician is in a serious but stable condition after being shot several times whilst speaking to a crowd during a visit to Handlova.

Security were only a couple of feet from the suspect. They had SECONDS to prevent this, right Infront of their eyes, while he outstretched his arm with gun in plain sight. Instead they just stood still and only flinched, when the shots rang out!! They failed.

no, not the greatest, but yes one of the top ones. Religion holds the greatest spot because it is often used for so many other reasons. For instance, the fighting over places like Jerusalem, were political and monetary in nature, but they were cloaked in religion.

@@Skygrey2943 to an extent, but patriotism is relatively new, most in the past fought for individuals not countries. Religion existed and I imagine justified actions before countries or money. So they represent their own class on top of politics, BUT I will agree that in the modern world you are exactly right.
