Lol nobody even watched the video, they see the title and comment immediately. For instance @ 4:47 he says "There is NO winning slot machine system". Yet everyone's saying this video is bull. Its informative, chill out folks. Also, its completely right, there is no such thing as a strategy for playing slots (Other than trying to lose less and playing slower). Every spin is its own event and has no effect on future outcomes. If you poured 900 bucks into a slot then the next person sits at that slot machine hits a jackpot, guess what, it wasn't yours. I can go on forever about RNG and advantages and all that but this guys got it covered. Great video by the way!

I've won pretty consistently on slots because I play for a few hands, if I get nothing, I move on. When I win a nice amount, I cash out and move on to the next machine. The trick is to play the highest odds and cash out if you win something decent. Thinking you'll win the big pot is a suckers game and will cause you to lose whatever you have won. I've won a little here and a little there and at the end of the day it amounts to a nice amount. It's all random, so luck is the key factor, but if you keep going after a big win, you'll probably end up losing it all. Just saying…

You can't go into a casino and expect to win millions of dollars. It's tough enough to win $5.00. Set your limit, and plan to leave when you've lost half of that and try to get a free drink. Enjoy yourself, have a good time with friends. Watch a game on the surrounding tv's and get a bite to eat or see a show. It's that simple!

FACT: In all the visits I made to Vegas, I noticed one peculiar thing: I always won more money playing slots, when I was playing just for the fun of it! When I played with the intention of "making big bucks," I never won a dime.

Excellent video. I guess the only ones who can verify or refute your research are the programmers who work at the machine manufacturers. Your research seems plausible. Thanks for presenting the official narrative.

I know for a FACT that casinos DO tighten up machines that pay out too much. There was a machine at Auga Caliente in Palm Springs that paid out consistently for several months. Then suddenly...it stopped paying out period. The casino tightened up the machine to hardly ever pay out, where as at first...for a time..it was paying out on a regular basis.

I'm a casino tech for about 10 casinos. He nailed it, they're computers designed to pay out less than they collect in the long run. That doesn't mean that you can't hit it once and make a huge profit. It means that the longer you stay there, the more you conform to the ~90% payout rate. The entire goal of the casino is to keep you playing, and take ~10% of your money. They'll even give you free drinks, just keep playing that machine.

That's why first and foremost people must consider this an entertainment and not a stream of income. Some people just test their luck, and it pays off, but most people will lose. Of curse you have people coming in with huge bankrolls and playing low denom machines like quarter machines, i.e. $5k-$10k bankroll, so they are putting the machine through far more spin trials than someone playing a few rounds. That won't change odds, but technically you are using more trials. Imagine if you had a bag with mostly red balls and some white ones, and you were to pick ONCE. Imagine you were asked to pick 1000 times, odds are eventually you might pick the white ones. But do most people have large bankrolls, nope, and even with a large bankroll there is no guarantee, and you are likely to lose it all, as you keep playing anyway. So your best bet is NOT to play machines, SAVE your money instead and build a nest egg, even with market conditions, in the long run you will profit.....With a slot machine you WILL lose, and your odds of being LUCKY and hitting that big jackpot are slim - Even if you do, calculate all that you have gambled before, how many can say that they are in profit ? Thank about it.....Statistically majority of players are at a loss. So all those bogus youtubers who shill casinos, and flash their jackpots, are they telling you how much they spent TOTAL all sessions combined ? Not really, they list tell you how much they spent in their CURRENT session!!! My favorite machine at any Casino is the change machine. I've never won anything but it always give me all my money back no matter how many times I play this machine.

I put $20 in a dollar machine and won $2500. A few months later I went back and won $3000 on the same machine. About six months later I won $2500 on that same machine. A friend was with me. After I got paid I gave my friend $20 and said "play this machine". He won $3000 on the third pull. A few weeks later I saw the casino techs take that machine apart. It no longer pays out. For the last two years I periodically watch other people play this machine and they get no hits. My own strategy is to move to another machine if there are no hits.

As a designer of many gaming approved slot machines, I can tell you that there are things you didn’t mention. Some machines do not use an RNG for stopping. Scientific Games (formerly WMS) got sued by IGT for violating the Telnaes Patent which uses an RNG on a “virtual reel”. Instead, WMS used an RNG to determine the pay and stops the reels according to the desired payout. The concept of a “virtual reel” or “virtual paytable” makes any “near miss” deceptive. In the case of a mechanical slot game, the physical reel is 22 or 25 stops, but the virtual reel can be as high as 500 stops per reel. This makes the Megabucks jackpot possible. It’s the deceptive electronic equivalent of the mechanical slot days when casinos filed extra notches in the reel drum cam to reduce the chances of stopping on a symbol.

Certain games have their reels weighted - they do this to make the math work. Three reel slots for example. Some video slots are weighted too but the actually math - the RNG pull - does work for either type of game. The teases you speak of might have to do with the limited amount of stops on a three reel game - it's common for progressive symbols or multipliers to land right above or below the Payline only because the blank or other symbol that does land on the Payline is weighted to land more frequently.

Chris Longley Humans are amazing at detecting patterns and if there are three or four of the same in a row we assume that is is programmed. The easier explanation is that randomness sometimes delivers streaks that appear predetermined. Slots are amazingly random - simple math and programming dictates this. I've had the privilege of speaking with several of the mathematicians from WMS and Aristocrat. These games are highly tested and regulated and outcomes are nothing but random.

Chris Longley I would never produce any material like that because playing a slot machine is always statistically a losing proposition.

Have been fascinated by them since I was allowed in Casinos. The old-fashioned ones in Harrah's in Reno went thru unmistakable "cycles": you knew when they'd pay out (usually only 50 bucks, but hey, money was worth more then)

You just have to be smart about it, put in the amount of money you would be okay with losing, you either win or lose that’s all.

that's right...the best way to win is to get the most enjoyment for your money...so even though playing penny slots gives you the least chance of making a profit, if you lose $30 playing penny slots for a few hours, but feel you had $30 worth of fun, then you really didn't lose, you just paid $30 for some fun with a slight chance of making money.

Learned the right way the wrong way. I lost 150 euros from gambling in two days after turning 18. The trick is dont fucking play.

I used to date a casino floor cashier. She told me employees are not allowed to gamble at the casinos they work at because they become aware of the "hot" machines which were always being moved around to different locations within the casino, so she would get together with other employees from neighboring casinos and they would share the location of the hot machines with each other. On her days off she would go to one of those hot machines she was tipped off about and she would fearlessly pump up to $2000 into the machine knowing confidently that the machine was set to pay her $6000. She was bringing home an extra $3000 to $5000 every week!!! As long as they were smart and didn't get greedy the casinos were none the wiser.

A lot of the newer machines are not adicting and the payouts are cheap. They have lost me as a player. I save a lot of money now. Thanks.

Just remember when you walk into a casino it is a business and like any business its there to make money not give it away. If you are running low on money and you think you can go to the casino to make some extra money the chance are 90 percent against you of doing so. Never go into a casino and play with money you can not afford to lose. I would recommend if you go take you credit cards out and do not take them with you and only take the cash you plan on losing.

When I go to a casino, I automatically think I am not walking out with the same I walked in with. I've gotten lucky of course but I go in with a set amount to spend and if it's gone I leave.

No the best way to win is to play and within the first 10 min of entering the casino tear them a new hole get the jacket pot and never come back

How to win at a slot machine? Don't Play.

I noticed a lot of machines the newer ones and higher betting ones glitch often or even seem to re trigger a extra sec of turning n totally pass a win. Where as before the spin would have won if it stayed the same as past spins. I’m not talking about bonus ones or just bonus ones, I know some slow down or speed up to get the player excited or something. I’m talking about it must get hacked or something can control if u win or lose which is happening all the time lately.

Bravo! Fantastic bit of research and this video! I have heard all of these theories about slot machines through the years from my friends and family. Mathematically, logically, and practically, none of these ideas made sense to me but I had nothing to counter their statements. At least what I had figured was in fact the reality of how these machines worked and how the industry is regulated turned out to be correct! Thanks again.

I don’t believe the slots pay back is 85%-98%. No way. Ask anybody who’s ever became a slot machine addict. The return is usually a 20%

I believe if you are playing machines with large jackpots, it may feel this way even more so. Everyone is paying towards that jackpot which will eventually hit and contribute to the average 80-95% payback

Gamblers fallacy also applies in the reverse. Despite the odds being 85-98%, the vast number of bets that slot addicts play means their cash stack quickly dwindles to nothing. Let's say your bankroll is 100$ and you're betting your entire stack each spin to simplify the math After spin 1 you're expected to have 85$ After spin 2 you're expected to have 72.25$ After spin 3 you're expected to have 61.41$. 85-98% sounds like a lot, but 15% house odds is ENORMOUS

This works for me every time. Take $100 to the casino. Watch someone play a machine for a long time and not win. Think, "Boy, what a sucker!" Walk away with your money. Works 100% of the time.

Probably people who work in the industry and don't like his honest approach.

I have really paid close attention to the slot machines, or pokie machines we call them here in Australia, it always seems that when you happen to get lucky on these machines and win a large amount of money , it seems as though if you played on the chances of winning anymore is very slim. This is why if I make a profit from what cash I use in a particular machine, I then collect my winnings and move away , I do believe that if the machine does win you a reasonable amount of money then it won't furthermore continue to keep winning on the same machine. It almost seems that the machine has a payout for a winner that there may well be some type of electronic device mechanism that acts like some kind of sensor that it locks up for sometime a while that perhaps won't allow the machine to keep the machine on any continued winning momentum role that it was on before any winnings , therefore it sucks people into continue to persist with the particular machine and retrieve the money back into the machine so it's not at a loss. It is something I have always noticed when in the past played on after a good win and also watched many win up to almost 7 or $800 and by the time they could have left 800 profited , they play on until they have lost the entire amount they 1st initially had won. I'm probably wrong but I see it so many times

so true, I actually won tonight and tbh i win quite often, 2 majors within 10 minutes, 2 different machines.. I usually don't spend more than $30 in any machine, if it doesn't give me a feature i move onto the next, usually i wont play anything when the major is below $580 (means it payed out) I also never bet higher than $1.50 lines. Tonight I went in with $40 and alked out with $1.7k. I also set a budget, very strict and dont spend more than $80 in one night and only go once per month at the most. I have stuck by this rule for 15 years and never really lost more than $50. Some people just sit there feeding the machine money thinking that the more the put in the more it will pay out but thats not how it works. Another good trick is to watch someone sit down, if they dont get a feature and walk away, ill sit down and usually get the feature shortly after, saves me from putting my own money in to try get the feature first.

As somebody who is learning to work in the pokie area of a pub here in Aus, it is clear to me from the insanely tough fines and legislation that no such thing occurs. The chips are all locked away behind tamper proof seals. These are checked by auditors from olgr. Huge fines if anything isn’t up to code. It wouldn’t be worth it for a venue to play around with these chips. If there was a kind of conspiracy it’s government level and I don’t see the incentive for a government to increase the profits of a pub at the detriment of gamblers. Hope that helps!

My parents won $150k on a Wheel of Fortune slop at Wynn Vegas about 10 years ago. They cashed out and hot the hell out of town. The casino tried so hard to get them to stay. Offered to comp a suite and show tickets. All meals and drinks too.
