I have a 6000 coin operated us quarter and no indont have a problem with it yet, but I appreciate the video in case the feature it gives me trouble

This was a big help I just got two machines one is from the Sand Vegas casino and the cion mechanism had no labeling whatsoever. So it would not accept quarters. Now I have to sort out how to close the door without the lock someone bored out which allows the door lock mechanism to engage yet not to be opened.

Love the video mate very helpful, just got the exact same machine, do you know how to adjust machine settings on these? Volume pay out rates etc? and or know of somewhere that is a good resource?

Question for the slot machine community. I have a Double Diamond IGT machine and I'm having an issue with the 61-1 code. I've done all I can think of to clear the machine with the clear chip and new chips but when I go to turn the reset key the code will not clear. I know the reset key is working because i can change number or codes in the display. I've replace the battery and the door optic with no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Clearing a 61 error is outside the scope of this video. There's a guide in the S+ section of the New Life Games message forum at www.newlifegames.com/ , and that forum would be a better place to ask for assistance if you still need help after reviewing the guide for clearing that error.

Quick question since I have run out of options...I have an early 90's 3 reel wild cherry slot machine that was handed down by my grandfather. There are no error codes but the coin just drop through when we go to play. I have a feeling it is missing a coin comparitor...my machine does not have the one like your machine. It doesn't have anything where the coin drops through. Do all of the early 90's machine have them?

Based on your description you likely have an IGT S+ slot machine which is pretty much the same machine in this video. Yes, it should have a coin comparator. I'd suggest joining the message forum (free) at NewLifeGames.com . Post pictures of the inside of the door of your machine and there are members and vendors there who can get you the parts you need to complete your machine.

Hi Manuel. You will need to adjust the programming of the machine to have it pay from the hopper rather than the ticket printer. That is outside the scope of this video. Quick question, My Ballys Double Diamond has the same coin comparator and I'm having an issue where it is humming loud! but, only when I have a coin in the comparator & slot door is closed, If I take the coin out and shut the door the hum is gone ... I've tried cleaning the coin comparator, Didn't work ... Any advice would be helpful.

The buzzing is likely from the solenoid for the diverter. There's a capacitor in there that gets dried out and needs to be replaced. @@knagl is it the solenoid that's right on top of the coin rake? Soon as I unplug just the coin rake solenoid the noise stops

@@RollerCoasteraddict You'll need to find a new capacitor that matches the value of the existing one. eBay, Mouser, Digi-Key, etc. should have replacements.

I have a double diamond 25 cent slot machine, quarter works but the bill validation doesn't work? How can I fixed the issue?

Is that a flat head or philips screwdriver you are using to set the sensitivity. It is so small I think I may have stripped it.

I just looked closely at a couple of my machines and it's a flat/slotted hole in the potentiometer dial. A flat head screwdriver is what you'd typically use.

Hello. The LED will only be lit when the machine is ready to accept a coin. Since the machine is not ready to accept a coin when the door is open, you typically will not ever see that LED lit up.

I have a DD 25cent one Just got it Coin gets past the comparator and then gets ‘stuck’ behind and won’t drop down What could be wrong??

Hi Ross, I would make sure that the sample coin is seated properly in the comparitor -- if it's not seated properly the coin coming in can jam, although you said it gets past the comparitor and I'm not quite sure where you're talking about. If you're saying it's getting caught in the coin-in optics that are below the comparitor, you might have the wrong size encoder (coin guide) for the size coins you're using. For example, if you had a nickel encoder but are using quarters, they won't fit through. I really don't provide technical support in the comments here. Hello Knagl and hello everyone. I have a somewhat specific question to ask. A million years ago, I was given a Taito slot machine, which is nowhere to be found now. It looks a lot like to Pachislo models, with 3 real rollers equipped with a stepper motor. The model is Space Invaders. Since his coin acceptor had given problems, when it was replaced identically the software on start-up detected the change and asked for an 8-digit password to be entered. However this password is the result of a password generated by the slot. It basically spits out an 8-digit password and asks for another to be entered. I ask you if you know which software generates an 8-digit password compared to 8 digits given by the software. Thanks so much to anyone who can help me🙏

There could be a dozen other reasons why a machine isn't accepting coins. If the machine is in a tilt condition it won't accept coins until the reason for the tilt is resolved. Your best bet is to post in the NewLifeGames.com message forum (free) with details of the machine you're working with and the folks there will help you out.

I think you should not leave it there. You moved it all the way counter-clockwise to where it will accept the maximum with fewest rejects. That defeats a lot of the purpose of the COMPARATOR function! You should now re-open the machine and keep making small adjustments clockwise until the machine starts to reject coins. Keep some odd mangled and/or dirty coins on hand for this as well. Ideally, you should also have a brand new uncirculated coin in the comparator as the coin it's searching for. Once you have the machine to the point where it is just starting to reject the mangled/dirty coins, go ahead and turn it counter-clockwise in very tiny increments until it finally accepts the legit-but-worn coins again. And once you get it to that spot, that's the spot you want. That's the IDEAL spot. You're not telling them how to find the ideal setting, you're just showing them how to de-activate some of the features of the coin comparator.

I understand what you're saying and you're not wrong with your assessment, but the audience for this video is home owners of slot machines that are being operated for amusement only. If this were in a casino of course you'd want to make sure that slugs and the like were accurately rejected. However, in a home environment you just want to get a credit for the coin or token inserted into the machine and there isn't any concern of fake coins being used.
