The little bracket that comes with the car is for a SP43 digital chip. Not for the light board.

I didn't use it on the Light-board, but modified the bracket to hold the O2 chip.

Just received the SP15c. It came with a capacitor, is there any need to attach that to the motor? No instructions were included, unsure of its purpose?

Hi, the SP15 chip has its own documentation on the slot it website. The capacitor is needed in case the motor does not have a ferrite bead already. Also, I personally don't use the JST connector and instead solder everything.

Hi, you can easily find them on ebay. Pre-wired is easier to work with if you've never dealt with SMD components. 0603 is a decent footprint to transition to SMD. Or you can try something smaller like a 0402 (1*0.5 mm or so)!

@@johnny_s_workshop thanks! Another question I had for you: Converting my slot it to run on the Scalextric system with the SISP15c chip. How do I wire the lights into the chip or can I go directly off the motor with them? Do I need a resistor or does the light kit take care of that? Very new to wiring up digital in addition to lights. Your video was outstanding, thanks for any help!

Hi, thanks! Unfortunately the SP15 is not a standalone digital chip + lights kit. However, you can get a constant DC 5v(

@@johnny_s_workshop outstanding, I'm from the US but will definitely purchase one. As far as wiring these up then for my car to run digital with light I'll just need the SP15 and your light unit correct? Do I need anything else beyond this? Do you have a diagram for how to wire this up? Thanks! -Spencer

Correct: an SP15 (digital chip) + an SP16 (lighting kit) OR one of mine. The only thing to look for are: LEDs and wires of your choosing. And yes, I do provide a diagram with each one of my lights-board.
