In this interview from the 2024 Spielwarenmesse (Toy Fair), Andreas Weiss, the product manager for slot cars at Carrera Toys GmbH, showed me the new race track innovations for slot car tracks. First, new vehicles can be seen in a scale of 1to24 (Carrera 124) and then in 1 to 32 (Carrera 132). Then there are a few new starter packs for the Carrera 132 and a new radio hand controller, which is now no longer powered by a lithium polymer rechargeable battery but simply by a standard battery. Finally, there is a gigantic “Mix'n Race” luxury starter set with four Carrera 124 vehicles and a partially four-lane track that requires an area of 770 x 300 cm.
