We tried our best at that time , but the authorities deployed every reserve they had to try and defeat us . Police closing down parties , blocking roads , corralling cars at motorway service stations and the introduction of a law defining music by its B.P.M. and passing a law in record time . Raves still went on despite their attempts so we never lost ...Castlemorton was the proof of that .

Ask me about any year of my life and I can tell you..as for 91-93, well thats another matter...simply lost to drugs,women and most importantly,the music. All I can tell you is that I was just lost up in the greatest years dance music ever..Fact produced

I was 18 when this event happened, i didnt go, i think i went to an illegal rave near kings lynn that night, but today i turn 43 and this music still makes me feel like im 18 again! Fucking blinding set from the slipmatt! I remember playing this on cassette at work above the main office, i got so many complaints i was banned from using any stereo lol

I love seeing all the comments from you old ravers, those who are 40 to 50 year olds now, experienced some of the most amazing times in their youth musically. And that music sounds really fresh again IMO. I'm a bit younger so I'm more of the trance generation from around the millennium.

It was my Dad that showed me this music, how upset I am that I never got to experience it..

These DJ's were Artistes. Unlike those nowadays that press a few buttons on a desk, they might as well just press play, shame.

I had all these tapes lol my wall was full flyers i would get from spinny disk in my shell suite ;)

I was at this event, 18 years old!! Been to many Old School Parties in more recent years, but it just does not feel the same as the events from back in the day, those hearing this for the first time have got to feel the real raving atmosphere!!

Him and ratty were the 2 best I ever saw. Defo on the same level as Fabio and grooverider. Immaculate nearly every time

What a set! Cost you about £600 to buy all that lot on vinyl now! Worth every penny though 🙂 Missed these early 90's raves, few years too young, bedroom covered in flyers and loads of tapepacks though, started raving in 93 at Dance Paradise at Tiffanys in GY, then in London from 95, massively into Jungle/D&B scene, Leisure Lounge, The End, SW1, Club UK, Turnmills, travelled back to Norfolk regularly for outdoor parties courtesy of Planet Yes/Innerfield crews.... top top top times 😍 Still got my decks, still buying tunes, still party as much as I can, music still the biggest thing in my life (other than my missus and kids obviously 😉) ❤💛💚

yeh i heard an advert on weekend rush telling how it was going to be held in littlecote house it was a fucker turning up to circus bigtops still fucking amazing though, i remember every moment even the part where i was coming up on acid E sulphates and poppers in a vics tube wobbling through the crowd that was one hell of a rush
