The riff at 0:56 sounds like slightly altered Heretic Anthem. It's a great parody because it practically *is* Slipknot. Love it!

Those snare rolls are on point and the riff and beat straight up sounds just like “Surfacing”

I personally enjoyed the dying song, but I can see st times how it's a departure.

This is so on point. Pete you really understand the core style of this band. I wish you could give this track to Corey Taylor to do Freestyle on this track(not a bad idea).

The issue is, Slipknot lost their identity when Paul and joey left, mostly Paul who was the main song writer, who wrote almost all of their songs. so thats why they are struggling to replicate this style

As a huge Slipknot fan for about 16 years now (I know how to play most of their songs from first and second album, got their logo as a tattoo, have a corner with a sacrificial altar etc) I must admit this was a real Slipknot style banger!!!

@@peteplaysmusic both my HB are great guitars... My White SC-Custom II Active and my TE-20HH SBK... Just great players...the T was super surprising because it doesn't have a "Fender" neck...way more modern neck...

I'm not kidding when I say that air-drummed almost everything correctly while listening this for the first time. Been listening to Joey for so long that I was able to predict almost everything 🤣🤘🏼

The sound is all in the production and what comes after the guitar! Harley Benton is probably the most value guitar brand out there at the moment.
