For a cover, this absolutely rocks and hits hard. Like it's hitting me in the exact spot the original version hit me. I go back to this song sometimes. I always have so much things to say. So many unanswered questions. So much unsolved mysteries in my head. So much complex emotions and to top it off, suicidal ideations. I never listened to this song because every time I try to, the song ends up listening to me. I hear the words, the chord progressions and all I can think is about Corey Taylor's origin story. A bullied teenager who grew up in a terrible neighbourhood. He fought everything in his path and became who he is today. A criminally underrated singer and musician. Playing this song gives me so much peace. It has such a healing effect.
