Slip Tie Braid | Knotted Mohawk Braid
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This knotted braid looks complex but is really simple once you get the rhythm. You begin just like you would if you were typing your shoe, after that, you work with three strands on each side of the braid overlapping square knots.

I texturized the hair first with the Sam Villa Textur Iron to add texture and keep the braid from slipping (awesome trick!). When you finish, keep the knots tight or spread them a little for a beautiful finished look!

I enjoy your videos, I was wondering if you could add more ethnic models to your videos, showing similar styles on different hair textures. I really think this would be great addition to your series to see a variety of ethnic groups.

Or, since straight hair is the easiest hair type to deal with he sticks with that hair type. I assure you, the ones you’re capping for, aren’t even that’d of who is watching his vids.
Sam Villa all I can say is thank you. I have a pretty good handle on hair n makeup......one exception..........successful use of BOBBY PINS! 9 yrs of dance ( where no bun = no ballet shoes ) and 3 decades of MAYBE THIS TIME........then defeat. I was looking at the braid and BAM! V = value and twist n pin where your holding (using your pinning technique) and 2 mins later I not only have a great bun but hours of hold w BOBBY PINS. You have taught me the one thing I so badly needed to endless creative hair! Thank you
She kept that vogue pose like a PRO
I need to try this! Since I have naturally curly hair I'm thinking I won't need to use an iron. I usually don't. Now if only I can grow an extra set of arms to accomplish this.... 😑 But if I can do this it'll be perfect for work! I have to wear my hair up and buns and ponytails get so old so fast. Thanks for this!

You can use a sectioning clip. You can buy them really anywhere. They are barrette-like things that hold hair in place temporarily.

Love. Love love love. LOVE IT! Thank you!
I want to cloan Sam Villa and have him with me 24/7! I heart you Mr.Villa!
This is exactly why African and Middle Eastern-type hair can hold braids much better. So interesting he crimped her hair to have a better grip. Great idea! Being biracial my hair is more on European side so my braids slip. Think I'll be crimping my hair! Lol
