Yeah, for sure. You should check out the documentary 'Bread Crumb Trail" about Slint, it goes into depth about all of these recordings. They were big fans of Steve Albini, which is why they wanted him to record it, but were really disappointed in this album because of his influence on the recording. Steve actually feels pretty bad about it now. They were literally children at the time of making Tweez, even Spiderland were insanely young. I still love Tweez and everything this band and it's members did afterwards.

You Eric Lamar, Spiderland is just brilliant!! It's one thing to werite music that sounds different, it's another to write a whole album that gels like Spiderland does. As a muso it's really different and rewarding to learn those many harmonics and alternate timings. Tweez is great but if Slint is mentioned ever in like 20 years it will be in the same breath as "Spiderland" - as has been the case thus far. I like this album a little more than Spiderland tbh- I appreciate that this is a little more conventional while still being incredibly unique at the same time. I'd rate it 10 random shits being thrown around out of 10

in a sense slint has a similar atheistic and playing style, obviously they are in different genres but I can see where your coming from.. burzum is definitely more realistically 'spooky,' but slint is lyrically and psychologically way more 'spooky' then burzum. that cold, isolated, loose, yet powerful feeling you get from burzum is reminiscent in slint as well. Black and white visuals, heavy symbol use, and a very repetitive structure in both of the bands music, while also using heavy distortion to break up their traditional roots; id say they actually have a good amount in common.
