Nice review! Do the 1001 and 926 have a highend for winging or do they just keep going? Is there a good smaller foil in the Slingshot range to use with these for really windy days?

The 1001 is a bit faster but both are respectively fast for winging. All foils have a top end and these aren't race-ready but fast enough for most riders. I expect we'll see some faster versions of these wings in the near future from Slingshot. -Tucker

More glide, higher speed, higher stall speed. Not quite as loose in the roll. I ride the 1001 on open rolling swell and downwind runs. The 926 is better for tight, in-the-pocket maneuvers and will require more consistent wave face to stay flying. On a wing, they are both great and can be used almost interchangeably. I think most people will like the 926 better for it's lower lift and maneuverability at a smaller wingspan- Tucker

I finally got the 1001 and had a session yesterday. it was extremely windy gusting to 45mph at some point but that create large swells. I do have the 926 and have been riding it for last 4 months (with the smaller stabilizer though) After yesterday's session, i am not sure if i go back to the 926. This wing is much faster and can go up wing much easier than the 926. The glide in unbelievable and it would also not stall at low speed. I also did not need much more speed to get on the foil compared to 926, but that could also be due to the strong winds (today should be lighter, so i'll be able to compare it better) It also glides more efficiently against the swells and the flow of water or tied. I had very hard time doing toe sided tacks with the 926, but mainly due to the fact that i was not carying enough speed (i don't like going too fast when toe-sided) so i usually had to do VERY shart tack, otherwise i would loose so much speed and glide and would stall the foil. I tried few tacks at the end of the session, against the swell, and i could not believe how it would glide up wind. I will now try to learn the heel side to toe-side tack, knowing how this wing glides. Regarding the flexibility in the mast (i do have the 92cm). I don't do any tight turns, or jumps, so i did not notice any of that, so for cassual rider like me, it was not issue (i'm 155lbs and on 69L board)

@@tomasgulas awesome Tomas, thanks for sharing! the 926 is downgraded to the PFI serie as it's less AR than the 1001. Im debating getting the new 930 or the 1001... tricky.

Will you be doing a review on the North Sonar (HA) wing foils carbon edition? Keen to know how they stack up. The pricing looks too good

Awesome review! Do you think If I bore out the screw holes I could put it on a sabfoil kraken system? then I can use my 700 or 703 fuselage. If I go w1000 I need a kite fuselage :/

Potentially, Haven't tried it. The W1000 won't fit on any Phantasm. -Tucker

On the 926.... if i want more speed/glide but manoeuvrability too, would the 930 be a good shout for higher winds.

Slightly faster than the 926 and better glide. If you want a whole new speed range to "quiver" with the 926 go with the 825. -Tucker

Hi there... sounds like a great front wing! Can you tell anything on the possibilities of mounting this Slingshot Front wing on a SABFoil fuselage? Doesn't the angle of the front wing change and get totally useless... In my opinion this can only work if that angle is exactly the same... So are they compatible? Love to hear from you!

Are these new lowers made out of the new aluminium composite and thicker anodizing? eg. the fuse

Oh yeah. It's fast and jumps great. For me at 200lbs, I need some decent wind to land perfectly back on foil but that kind of goes with the territory on smaller foils. -Tucker
