Very nice review, I’m thinking of getting one of these cars in blue. That looks good just needs a bit more power, Maybe a remap would be the answer.

Yes, you can get more powerful versions, I just expect this engine is one of the bigger sellers. Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting!

Great little review as always Sir, have to admit i do like the look of the current Astra and the Sport Tourer is no exception. Engine Sounds quite Peppy and seems to get a shift on as well.

Not so keen on the front end, I think the rear end is quite stylish. The infotainment system was a bit tricky for some reason this time.... Thank you again for watching, sir!

I had one of these on test . Automatic though. Really nice car but wish you could turn off land keeping assist permanently. We have two retired greyhounds so estate car is essential. SUV not ideal as usually have higher load lips . Also hybrids and ev don’t have deep boots because of the battery position underneath . So petrol it is.The Astra is on the list of possible purchases but I will wait until depreciation knocks in. I notice the equivalent second hand Peugeot 308SW is already a cheaper car year for year .

Yes, something like a Kia Ceed SW is a good alternative as well, and those have a clearer infotainment system in my opinion too. The boot size on a car like this is enormous! Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting.

Thanks Mr Lloyd , if you remember at FOTU 2023 there was a blue Mk1 Astra GL , infinitely better in my admittedly unusual opinion. Seriously.

Thank you for this video! Unfortunately this might be a car we New Zealanders may not get brand new. Shame, because it looks cool and the specifications are interesting. Like the body shape most of all. Very 1970s isn't it?

I don't think that you will get this in New Zealand, sir, as Vauxhall is part of Stellantis now. General Motors don't sell cars in Australiasia any more, do they?

@@lloydvehicleconsulting No Holden went down the loo ages ago. I have seen some new Camaros every now and then but there is certainly no heavily promoted GM distributor anymore. I did hear Opel were thinking of returning to New Zealand for the first time in 30-odd years though.

@@lloydvehicleconsulting Vauxhall must be laughing again. They wouldn't dare cancel a model that has meant so much to the British motoring public. I like the retro cool styling, nice and original not just another evolution of the previous shape.

It looks very similar to the latest Chevy Cruze

That's strange, isn't it? I suppose it does, but there is no common engineering whatsoever.
