Sliding Room Divider (Inspired by Star Wars)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

We wanted a cool looking room divider that could block out bright light. Using our CNC and some rollers, we made a sliding room divider straight out of Star Wars! Check out the Fusion 360 online course: www.fusion360formakers.com use the code MAKECOOLSTUFF10 to get 10% off.

When doing it by hand it's actually a lot easier to use a hole saw and then just cut out the centers with a jigsaw that way you don't have to make the curve with the jigsaw and you have a perfectly round end that you don't have to shape out

First of all, those are gorgeous, and your cinematography for the reveal was just breathtaking!! And such a sophisticated take on a well-aged concept! I'm gonna push to the slightly extreme on this, but maybe you could try your hand at making some arcade racing games so you can go one on one in Mario Kart or something. Full on adjustable seat, pedals, shifter, wheel with feedback and speakers in the headrest. I'd be willing to bet you'd make it more awesome than I could imagine.

Nice. When the holidays come, put some red and green tissue paper between the fixed and moving panels (using removable tape, of course), and then the light that comes through will be tinted holiday colors. At night, the light from inside the building will light up the windows in those colors for people to enjoy as they drive by. Or, do it now in blue, green, red, purple, orange, and gold. You know, lightsaber colors.
