Oh wow! What a time you went through - hope everything is back to normal now. I love your appreciation for your great neighbor --- in times of need, we realize what is most important in life. And we look at what we generally take for granted.

Oh, Now I see. Really cute slider. I've made tons of gate fold cards but never with a slider. I've done them with bands and a label glued on one side with a magnet. Now I have something new to do. I'm going to make some music cards with this idea.

I love it!

It's a balmy 18° here in Iowa today after over a week of extreme cold. And the sun is even shining! I missed the live because I had an appt for my first vaccine!! Hooray! Sorry your LIVE didn't go as planned but loved today's project! Can't wait to try it! Thanks for your time prepping and sharing with us. You two are great!

I don’t remember if I already posted what I did for 40 cards for Lent. In addition to the usual family and friends cards, I made 40 Cards for Cubs. They are handmade cards that go to Cards for Cubs, a non-profit organization in Arlington, TX. They collect handmade cards, which they send to organizations across the US, that work with foster care kids. The case workers write personal notes of encouragement inside, and give them to the kids. They asked for cards of encouragement and birthday cards. There are 350,000 kids in foster care, in the US. The average age is 8 years old. After I made 40 of the cards you called “easy pocket cards”, I decided I had time to make an additional 10, of a different type. They have a website, if anyone is interested. It was a feel-good project for me. I am already planning to participate next year. Thanks for the encouragement to do 40 cards for Lent, Karen!

Love these cards. I’m going to make a couple right now because I have a box full of store bought die cuts and DSP on hand. It’ll be so easy. I can pull out my mini chopper and bone folder and I won’t have to clean up the whole kitchen counter first. 😂 thanks sooooo much for sharing 💕

That was super fun!! I have not had a chance to make a card yet but I look forward to making several because my dear friend needs birthday cards for her sisters. 😊 I fiddled for a few minutes and figured out how to make the slider from one piece of paper and one piece of tear-n-tape. Look forward to joining in again!

Hi guys 😊, wow nice card ❤️ these cards need to make some and try it. Glade you having fun and a good vacation. Hawaii is rainy but not could. Tuesday was Portuguese Malasada day they call it Fat Tuesday. My mom Whois pure Portuguese first time is 60 years because of Covid we didn’t make the Malasadas and Portuguese bean 🍜 miss my family. But her husband had a stroke and his son is sick in hospice 😞 not good start of the year. So been hectic here along with trying to keep up. Sends love and Blessings to you two.

It is so difficult to not be able to see the people we love. In two weeks it will have been a full year since I have seen my mom in her room and been able to touch and hug her - that is unbelievable! We had one 6 foot distanced visit with masks on and she couldn't understand our muffled voices. She agreed phone calls were the best until we can be together and close - I hope that is coming soon. We get our first vaccines in 2 weeks and we are so glad about that.

@@KarenTitus yes it’s difficult now ,prays it will end soon and we can go back to enjoying life again with friends and love ones. Also with everyone still here yesterday my step mother passed of Diabetes so young and now gone. Losing three loves ones is very difficult but three since December 24th when aunty passed and now step brother. Can’t wait for that day too happened because we have no closer also prays no more deaths this year for our family.

You just hold the square and slide it off - this is a card. you might want to give in person - or attach a post-it note to slide off. Sometimes, even finished cards need instructions - lol
