Girl you will get it. I tried it recently for the first time. I don't section my hair, I just detangle it properly and apply my gel, Cantu and a hair cream. The results were amazing.

Honestly u just need your hair to be wet like this or on freshly washed hair. I notice the diff when i try to slick it down on try hair
