Thank you for your transparency. I’m sorry about the things that are going on in your personal life. That can definitely change an outlook on things you love to do when other life issues take root. I do hope that things change for you in the coming months. I do agree that though you can make your collection how big or small you want it can be an expensive hobby. I haven’t completed freefall which I did find surprising because I usually tend to finish before the next comeback. I’ve really been trying to take a different approach of just buying a lot of the things on resale rather than depending on GOs only because I just don’t want hassles of a lot of albums or having too much dupes. The album/weverse pcs are relatively pretty easy to find. The pobs/ld’s depending on the photo or who you collect (cries in YJ collecting) are still pretty decent and can be found also

first of all i really enjoy your videos! i’ve never commented before but just wanted to let you know it’s always a joy seeing you post! :) you have such an amazing and beautifully spread taehyun collection!! i completely agree with the whole budgeting and money talk. i also wish people were more transparent about this aspect because collecting kpop is definitely an expensive hobby. i fully collect yeonjun and the amount of money it is to keep up with his cards even with a full time job and budgeting is insane… taking a step back to reflect is a good thing to do ! at the end of the day it is a fun hobby that we shouldn’t make ourselves feel too overwhelmed with but it’s easier said than done 💔 good luck with your job and collecting going forward! don’t push or rush yourself too much the cards will always be here whenever you are ready :)) please look after yourself well!! 🫂

oh nooooo! best of luck on finding a new job and with your group orders. as someone who has kinda been in that job situation myself, it’s definitely so disheartening and draining having to put ourselves back out there to find something new (especially when having to do so on such short notice). but i’m wishing you all the best-any company would be lucky to have you! and gosh, i resonated so much with the “i work full time and i budget well” statement because even with all those things, photocard collecting is so expensive (but fun!) and i’m always wondering what kind of life i’m living (or need to be living) when i see people do their monthly massive hauls and storing videos 😭 on another note: it’s always such a joy to see a new video from you! i’m absolutely in love with your taehyun collection and how you organize each spread with so much detail and care 💕 and it’s soooo pleasing to see once you do your little flip throughs!!! tysm for sharing!!!!

okay WOW this comment has completely floored me, it is so incredibly kind and thoughtful 🥹 thank you so so much, you have no idea how much this has made my day! the first paragraph especially was so lovely to read after the chaos of my week hahaa. thank YOU ♡ and right! like knowing how much I spend (which I’m aware is a LOT, but obviously it’s a choice) I can’t help but wonder how much other people are spending too, even if it does make me seem nosy. it’s just when you see comments from people saying they’re sad because they’ll never be able to afford it etc. and the replies always mention budgeting and a full time job… but it’s such a sacrifice to commit to hardcore collecting, unless you earn a LOT there’s no real way to have other hobbies that cost money because the incessant releases in kpop really give you no choice but to only spend it on kpop. seeing the massive kaddy hauls stuns me sometimes because the value of it is craaazy, and it makes me sad to think people might think they’re failing or being a bad fan if they can’t budget their way into a 100+ album haul 😭 anyways…. again thank you soooo much for this comment 🥹 for sticking around and commenting and being so thoughtful with your time and words. This me with gom like there is one gom who soooooo late even tho i paied for all the pc since last yr but still they didnt send out i understand that there is another life etc but also is not our fault to wait for pc almost over 6 months so i guess im gonna stop with goms and start to wait for mercari abd plus most of goms cant send the pc without album and i hate having extra album and paying for more customs or shipping

6:15 appreciate you starting this discussion! collecting definitely becomes an expensive hobby around comeback season. I'm also doing a similar route as you now, wanting to get rid of the middleman with instagram group orders and just collecting when the opportunity arises instead of being in the center of the storm lol

SO expensive! and it’s crazy when you think about how much money you end up with in limbo, like you’ve spent $100 with a GOM and you may not see the items for a good six months. taking a step back has made me realise how crazy it is haha and how much I’d rather be in complete control rather than depend on other people. because when things go wrong it gets so intense! I’d rather just secure the things myself even if it makes the whole experience a little more isolating
