This is a great song from two great Scottish vocalists, never knew they did an acoustic version of this track.

I think I cried the first time I heard this song. Stunning. Absolutely stunning to begin with and this live performance is simply gorgeous!!!

Well i think we all know that Sharleen has a fantastic voice but alongside Mr Buchanan that is just sublime!!! Mind you i loved Blue Nile early days and Texas ( Sharleen) i loved them from I don't want a lover onwards ... two great talents!

Sharleen's voice and talents are amazing all throught her life, so proud of her being Scottish. Ive always loved her. Paulis fab but Sharleen is so talented that she brings the best out of him, vocally and emotionaly. Great combination xx😊

She's great I agree but I don't agree with the rest of your statement. Paul doesn't stand out, but the rare beauty of his timbre brings on a sort of connection with the rest of the band reminding me of a mother holding the child. There's something in his voice that really makes the difference. And the way he looks at her and smiles at her during their performance reveals, at least to me, the great emotional potential of this man. To be heard, of course , especially in the songs of The Blue Nile.

I almost never really listen to lyrics as it is the tune /melody that hits my brain; however this is so so different. One of the few songs that I would brave on a karaoke. And yes, i know I could not do it justice....

I ve stitched these together ... i love them wish it was 90 mins not 18 true quality :)

heard this for the first time yesterday in a clothes shop. asked the cashier who it was . she replied its on a tape. i said can you find out who sang it on the tape. she replied, i cant leave the till. i replied if she did not find out i would leave with the till, she laughed and asked her assistant to find the singer. this song was worth getting locked up for. fantastic song and give a thumbs up for the till assistant.

C'est vraiment intéressant de voir cette version en noir et blanc. Je me trompes sans doute !! Mais pour ma propre audition, j'ai l'impression qu'elle me semble ralentie. Quand j'entends la seconde version qui est colorée. Il me semble qu'elle a plus de rythme et surtout, s'est un clip. Donc plus animé et il y a une " histoire" derrière Les 2 versions sont cools. Dans la première, il y a le regard de Charleen vers celui de "Paul". Dans la seconde version, le regard s'y trouve également. Le petit plus, serait le clip qui est très rigolo et c'est sympa à regarder. Il y a des couples âgés qui chantent et claquent des mains, au rythme de la chanson. J'aime beaucoup 😜😜🥰😘😜👍👍👍🎵🎶🎼🎶🎵🎼🎶🎶 Un grand merci pour m'avoir permis de m'exprimer ainsi Nathalie Chocron
