It seems in my haste to begin this sleep story way back when, I skipped over the Ever important prologues as pointed out by @CameoAmalthea. Well I amend that today and next week as I bring you both prologues from Tolkien's epic saga "The Silmarillion". First up is the first prologue "Ainulindalë". I've listened to your Silmarillion recordings night after night, and I just keep wanting to come back to them. I have been in many different choirs, ranging from 20 to 300 people, and I always say that to me, singing in a group and harmonizing is the closest thing I have had to a religious experience. Letting music flow through my body to join the music of others... To me it's like sharing our souls. There's nothing like it. So to listen to Tolkien's words about singing the world into being, with your lovely voice and calm cadence, is just so peaceful for me. Thank you for these. Also, this reminds me a lot of The Gods of Pegana by Lord Dunsany. I loved the musicality of that prose as well. Maybe a suggestion for future reading? It's a bit more obscure though 😄
