Hi, We checked in at the Sleep Inn & Suites after a long day of driving from Pennsylvania headed home. We had Choice Hotel Points that we could use for a free night. We decided we would stop off in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
We have never stayed at this place before. It looked to have been refurbished.
The first room assigned #201 1 Queen bed room had not been cleaned or had been cleaned and someone went in and was using it. TV was on, Bed had been made but sat on and a dirty wash cloth and used soap was on counter. (Yikes!)
We were upgraded to a 1 King Room on 1st Floor. (#104) (The front staff were awesome.) The door was not closed when we came upon it, the latch was keeping it opened and the bathroom door was closed. What?? (Not again) The room was ok, newly refurbished but not completely finished. It was clean, the AC would not regulate the temperature, the shower had no water pressure, just a few of the things we noticed.
They do offer free parking, a free breakfast and an outdoor pool.
Our room was paid for by points we had earned. Hopefully in the future the kinks will have been worked out in this place. I personally would not stay here again. It did have some of my
"requirements" for a good stay tho. It was clean, it was affordable, Parking was free & a free breakfast - but I did not feel safe. That is a deal breaker for me.
