Sled Mods Part 3 Finishing up the Ice Age Khaos conversion on the RMK Pro

Фильм және анимация

Fixing my mistake from earlier and drilling out the correct hole for the Ice Age Elevate kit. It turns into a shindig but we wrap up the entire Khaos conversion and the Ice Age Elevate set up. Ready to cut the tunnel next.

Wahl Brothers has a solution in the way of a bolt on adjustable mounting plate which allows the front shaft to be adjusted up or down.

It actually doesn't look too bad once you painted it. I bet if you sanded a bit, put a film of JB weld, and sprayed it lime green with a rattle can it would almost be factory, lol. This is the perfect situation for a dremel with a small grinding bit. Could have made a perfect notch for the bolt head in the board. Nice job though!

i would recomend getting 6-8" of aluminum solid roll. pull the plastic end caps off the boards and hammer it in from the front to bring somestrngth back in the boards as id be highly concerned about a chassis failure to due flex on that board. sharp buggy

That’s a good idea actually. I might have to try that.

@2:34 i in the past liked to (always have) switched to longer m12 10.9 8mm hex bolts. soak them in oil after heating to blue if a bit of rust bugs you. You can run stainless. you can run titanium. But im 220 and like to abuse shiisleds ehh

Did you use the stock bogey wheels in the rear?

No the Ice Age rails are cut for an 8 inch bogey wheel so the stock 7.25 inch ones won’t work. I just purchased the 8 inch ones with the rails.

As much money as you have in the Iceage set up you should have just sold it and, upgraded to a new Khaos matryx...the matryx platform is soooo much better!

Good thing he didn't do that, he would not be riding this season with all the stop ride recalls. Ugh Polaris is killing me

@@briandhoward6137 Lol..I hear ya...gotta keep the old one (even though it's recalled). Hopefully Polaris steps up thier reliability game...as reliability is by far the most important part of a machine while riding.

@@hornefoundations agree, I sold my 2020 Khoas and 2 days later my dealer hit me with the 1st stop recall and now a second one. Ugh

What’s your idea for modifying the bolts? I can’t picture how to modify the bolts to solve the problem.
