During the early 2000s, Metallica called in a therapist when they were falling apart, and then recorded St. Anger, while Slayer gave us this brutal thrash masterpiece. I like both bands, but obviously Slayer went the right direction with this album, it's heavy af, the drums are mixed correctly, and what's that? Guitar solos! This is probably the best album they had done at that point in time since Seasons in the Abyss.
