I was down the front for this. Some guy next to me had his girlfriend with him, she was screaming at him for them to move back. This was during the intro tape, Slayer hadn’t even hit the stage yet. There is nothing like a Slayer gig.

Slayer fan since 1991. Decade of Aggression kickstarted me into their magic. Never looked back. Once loving Slayer, this love will stand even afterlife.

I was 19 years old when I was at this show. I swear the ground was literally shaking! Slayer were a force of nature. Paul Bostaph's first show, I believe? He was unbelievable.

I was there too. I was 17 and came with 4 Friends all the Way from Germany. For me the best Moshpit ever. Intense, loud, fair, Metal. Everybody went to the ground... 28 Years ago and it is in my mind like 3 Months ago.

The reverb coming off the vocal mic is awesome.

19 year old me was there, watching this almost gave me flashbacks, i started moving my head, not to headbang but to avoid plastic bottles full of piss flying through the air.

this was the first time I heard Slayer,I taped it off the radio cos the radio 1 dj said they were the heaviest band on the planet. Still my favourite band of all time

@@SKONJIE Are you deaf? Paul is loud and accurate here and at every show he’s ever played. Lombardo is awesome too don’t get me wrong, I mean he helped write these two tunes but he’s nowhere near as punchy and tight as Bostaph.

Yep - there was a phrase that I'd heard used about old acid rock bands like Blue Cheer , that they "turned the air to cheese". Well when slayer kicked off that day that's what happened, the air seemed to go thick and time slowed down. Just awesome, a real rush. Just a great atmosphere in the pit that day, last day I experienced it, blokes who picked you up if you went down and knew what they were doing. Thanks to the poster and well done for mixing the radio broadcast to the video.

this is when concerts were awesome... now everyone just stares and holds up their phones to video. so embarrassing.
