The timing of this Quick Look drop is perfect.

Kind of want to buy this but already own it on steam. Steam workshop support for this is nuts as people have made a LOT of other classes of characters. Some balanced, and some real weird like playing as DBZ characters.

27:42 pretty sure that fungi rat is based off of a real life phenomenon. I know how Brad loves to go down those morbid internet searching bents. Hope he looks it up

I've spent thousands of hours with games that are heavy on random runs (Isaac, Gungeon, etc) and this game is one of the best. Incredibly flexible in how you can play, one of the most varied games of its genre. Can't wait to pour more time into it on Switch. It's a steal even at $25.

I've enjoyed run-based games, esp. Dead Cells, but have not really gotten into card-based games. I have heard so much about this game (and the latest Steam World one), that I might jump in here.

@@crobro Sorry for late reply, but same for me! I'd never really been into card games much myself, dabbled in some Magic and Hearthstone but never really stuck with it. Slay the Spire is the one exception, I've put over 100 hours just on Steam. Plan on putting tons more into the Switch copy I'm about to buy. I know I'm being evangelical at this point, but give it a shot even if you're pensive. It's a tremendous game if you give it a chance.

Are there any attack animations? It looks like you and enemies both just nudge forward

eShop won't let me buy it yet :( I'm dying to play this game. Never played a Rogue like/lite but I love card games.

It's even better than it looks man

Powers last for the duration of that combat unless otherwise stated. And I honestly can't remember any that state otherwise off the top of my head.

This QL may have finally sold me on the game, but dear GOD was it painful to watch Brad "play."

This game looks like it could be fun, but I just am not a fan of the art style.

Good first look that is how painful it is before you understand how game works Always use all 0 cost cards since they are free, as in free. The "cost" of a 0 costcard is that if you getto many youcant use all ur energy since you onlyhave Free cards

The true cost is curses like normality or the time eater fight. You dont have to use all your energy in a turn to still be effective.

Some 0 cost cards come with draw. If you don't need that draw, leaving the 0 cost card can be the better play.

@@jclast Ur right. Some basic ideas of deck builder games can be pretty hard to grasp if its ur first deck builder. Ment it more as a guideline/advice for someone thats never played a deckbuilder before. Dont think i managed to do a good job though now reading it again.

There's a lot of these games on android especially. It's hard to _describe_ exactly why they're such good time killers though. Would you say they're actually fun? Not really, but you still play them, heh...
