I understand and agree with John MacArthur. About a year ago I was praying to be God's servant. I didn't have a clear focus on my goals and faith, so I was saying for God to take over, to command me with a ministry or calling. I now see that I am God's slave. I am a slave to the Alpha & Omega, the Ancient of Days, the Spirit of God, the Great I am, the Messiah Himself. THAT is the difference. We belong to God Himself. He bought and paid for us whether we like it or not. It's different than what you think. It's like those clowns like Kenneth Copeland have it backwards. We do God's bidding. Wanting to know how to please our Lord. Not our Lord wanting to please us. That is blasphemy. For anyone reading, you realize this and your faith will grow by a great deal. We are not of this world, but we are in it. We are to do God's bidding, because we aren't to be concerned with worldly matters, only what God wills us to do. It's becoming clearer to me.

Never heard this quite this way. Incredible how this has always been right in front of us yet never explained in this manner. Appreciate the blessings of knowledge. Happy Easter.

Glad to see comments on here. It seems like MacArthur videos often have comments turned off. That is not a good sign when somebody doesn't care to get input from others.

Thank you for helping me understanding life here....and why I go through the things I do. Knowing that I'm a tool here for Christ and I'll be a person when I get to Heaven, this explains why my heart is so passionate to others and why I give God ALL the glory. My identity has vanished in Christ and I'm happy to be a slave for Him...blessing and thank God for you!

Mr. MacArthur, Today I hear you speak about the message in God's Word about being a slave to Lord Jesus. This is true. You also expounded on this slave also being considered by Lord Jesus to be a friend. This is true. A slave that loves his Master and does His Will , who does good to His Master, is a slave and friend to His Lord. It is understood that this 'good' slave desires only to do his Lord's Will. This means that the slave does not desire to do his own will, but in submission obey the will of his Lord. This also means that this 'good' slave will not rebel against nor disobey his Lord's Will. This means that this 'good' slave will not claim the right and power to think, speak, and act for his own will...for his own self interest. ...this means that this 'good' slave will NOT demand "his rights" in the name of "FREEDOM" to do his own will. But many so called Christians all proclaim the righteousness of this "FREEDOM" spirit....even defining it to be good for each to go to this "FREEDOM" that self righteously justifies each to worship any god. Mr MacArthur....why don't you decry this "FREEDOM"...this DISOBEDIENCE and rebellion? A 'good' slave & friend does not think of himself...does NOT believe in nor claim "FREEDOM". An 'evil' slave DOES believe in & claim "FREEDOM" for 'his rights', his self interests, for his will to be done. You mentioned the scripture in which Lord Jesus says " why do you call me Lord when you do not do that which I say?" ...why to they call Him Lord?:... religious piety & self righteousness "relationship" with Christ self interest eternal life ...why do they not do what He tells them to do? ...in other words...why do they not do His Will? ...in other words...why do they disobey? to serve and magnify themselves (XES) for "FREEDOM" to do their own will, own human rights & religions for "FREEDOM" to redefine Christ in their own image because "FREEDOM" is their 1st love It is not easy to be reborn again. ...the first time we are born into "FREEDOM" (disobedience). ...the second time we are reborn into OBEDIENCE and become 'good' slaves and friends of our Lord Jesus. I hope that you will stand against the face of this "FREEDOM god" of the earth.

we are not forced to follow christ. He changes us so we want too. Its been always a choice to obey or disobey. I think slavery has over emphasis here to make it more then what its meant to mean. We are slaves to Christ, not my will but His. But again not in a way of how we see slavery. Force and cruelty and i dont get why this has been confused like this. There is no relationship in being a slave no reward no love. So someone got to talk about this.

Did you know the bible says ants are exceedingly wise , and they practice slavery ? However , enslaved ants kill their masters to stop them from going on slave raids and capturing others. Consequently, nature teaches us we're suppose to be stopping slavery not bringing more people into captivity as Christians love to do Here is the receipts : kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y5aJ0ZmOgdXej8o.html Proverbs 30:24 Four things on earth are small, yet they are exceedingly wise: The ants are not a strong species, yet they store up their food in the summer . Proverbs 6:6 Walk in the manner of the ant, O sluggard; observe its ways and be wise:
