Slaughter To Prevail - "Baba Yaga" | ROADIE REACTIONS
I never did a reaction to "Demolisher" because I heard the song 100 times before I started my channel, but FINALLY, we have some brand new Slaughter To Prevail to react to. Their latest single "Baba Yaga" was highly impressive, and I think we're seeing the full growth of a band with this song.

Using that bear in the video was INSANELY dangerous, dude. For real...how could you pit that poor, defenseless creature in a wrestling match against Alex Terrible!? That bear could have been seriously hurt! It's a good thing Alex knew it was a trained bear and went easy on it!

I also love the development the band seems to be making. Mixing deathcore with other sub-genres like Nu-Metal is awesome.

The coolest thing about this song is the progression they made from Demolisher. Such a HUGE step in songwriting. It's so cool when you don't get what you expect but it's a banger anyway!

100% agree!
I love that they keep moving, the dynamics in this song are so good without losing track of the brutality, it gets better and better the more you listen to it as well. I have to say though I love that final scene, the indifference of Alex to getting blood spatter on his cheek, Evgeny's almost desparation to have a go and that final shot...awesome stuff.
Many of these guys like Alex and will Ramos and dickie took years and years for them to perfect without blowing out their vocal cords, a lot of people don’t understand the process and the work to gain this type of scream and or growl which when we hear the clean growl/clean it’s soooooooo satisfying. My praise to fucking everyone in all these deathcore bands because they are all raising the bar at this point and are all amazingly talented
... - Thanks, I guess? This is going to require some post processing on my end... Great song, but so much happening. Great reaction man!

And Baba Yaga (at least one version of her) has a cat called Yoskhin kot, whom she feeds human flesh. And exclamation: "Yoskhin kot!" is used to express strong emotions: anger, surprise, anything.

This song is absolutely insane. It gives me such heavy Iowa vibes, and I love it. The breakdown is absolutely filthy, and the melodic ending wraps the song up beautifully. I have nothing but respect for them, every single member is doing exactly what is needed for this song. Also, Alex wrestling that bear.. Watching the BTS, I was having trouble figuring out if it was the bear or Alex growling at first, ahah. Such a sick song, and nice reaction!

I mean that band was one of my complete favorite bands when I was REALLY diving into metal (I'm 35) Much love from Portland Tank, keep the quality content coming. I'm a fucking gear nerd myself so this channel is just the tits 👍 And that outro is EPIC, the drummer makes that section. Favorite part of the song 👏 Also! Check out Interloper: Idle Years! The research you do for these videos for background to the songs, the artists, the band in general is impressive
Ayy finally someone else notices the slipknot influence. There's a LOT of Iowa in this song IMO. Kinda reminds me of when Suicide Silence brought on Ross Robinson, except instead of "Teehee" we actually got a banger.

i love that you talk about the gear. I myself am always trying to hear/see what they are using. great reaction :)
Such a sick song...those tom hits at the end get me every time...
The thing I love about this reaction channel and others I have (that are mostly vocal coaches) is that you learn a lot about the gear they use and just gear in general, it's pretty unique. This channel and someone like Kardavox's channel gets you the best of both worlds in regards to knowledge cause his vocal knowledge in regards to harsh vocals is some of the best just like this channel is with gear. On a related note, part of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition is called "The Hut on Fowl's Legs." It's also about Baba Yaga. Yeah, it's classical, but Mussorgsky was one of the most metal classical composers of all time. In fact, there's a metal cover of it here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q5aek5aQlNybhaw.html.
