WOW! It's extremely rare you hear the same story from both parties involved in a spat. Slash totally owned up to it just like Paul said in his book. Good on Slash for that!

I hear Paul say he didn't wanna make their album, that at the gig they were complaining about the mixing and he offered to help so the story is a bit different...though Slash does admit he rebuffed him than called for free guitars.

Slash gets my respect. Not just pertaining to Slash only. But how in the world can a musician get stoned or even drunk and still play live? Maybe it's because they sound so shitty while being wasted, the guy working the console shuts off the actual guitar & plays prerecorded stuff to cover the guitar players ass.

I was the hugest guns fan but after 30 years and nothing but a song or two they can eat shit. They fucked their career away. To write good GNR songs you need hunger and youth and they have neither. Their mansion and million dollar lifestyle isn’t conducive to writing street wise shit. Not to mention they don’t even like each other.

Man imagine having to answer the same series of questions, not just from media but from fan interactions too, consistently for over 20 years about some relationship that ended negatively. This dude has the patience of a god but you can just feel the discomfort lol.

I like Slash but I don't quite think that in the early days as a little-known newcomer band with a clear goal of becoming famous, they were never interested in working with a guy like Paul who was already a famous rock star at that time. That really doesn't make much sense.

Guys, please, stop with Guns n Roses question to Slash. Everything he had to answer this kind of question, it always bring some animosity from each side fans . It never gonna happen and I am kind of glad, because whatever they had 30 years ago, they dont have anymore. Nothing good could come from a reunion. There so many good question they could ask Slash of his current work and nobody ask those. Like, there is a chance of Myles release his solo record and they make a reverse tour with Conspiratos, playing Mayfiled Four, Solo Myles, Solo Slash and Guns n Roses tracks? Could he see in a close future Conspiratos became a band and the other members envolved more in the creative process? Would his albuns would always go to straight hard rock gender, or he has plan to do something more elaborated, such it was Use Your Illusion, with songs with solos and different tempos like Estranged, Locomotive and Coma?

well True it must be annoying BUT think about it they were Huge at one time, slash has been lucky doing his guest appearances & Guitar clinics BUT No GNR reunion? so many people would like to see it happen, But hey its up to them. most bands do reform because of popular demand. and of course he mentions money, NO Money is gonna make it work the band has to want it & get along.

MetalHeart8787 I think the 3 biggest reunion tours/shows would be (assuming they would happen): 1) Zeppelin (surviving members plus Jason Bonham) 2) GnR (Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff, Adler) 3) Classic Journey lineup (Perry, Schon, Cain, Valery, Steve Smith) I'm not sure any other reunions could pack the impact of these three hugely successful bands in their hayday. Just my opinion :) Yo!

I'm indifferent and ambivalent about GNR I was never a fan. And I'm not much on Kiss. But you have to have a lot of Chutzpah to call up a guy you had talked a lot of shit behind his back and ask for a solid like getting endorsement deals from Paul. Really?!

Axl and Slash were both go blame for GNR's split. Yes, Axl was a control freak, he was unreasonable, defensive and disrespectful to his band mates. However, Slash is very stuck in his ways, he wants everything to be done old school, he's afraid to broaden his horizons and do something outside of traditional rock n' roll. Being drunk and high all the time probably didnt help either. So in the end, both are to blame, but im thrilled they are finally taking steps to sort their shit out.
