This is just poorly tuned vocals.. But i get what your saying. Most often auto tune is used without you even noticing. Obviously a great natural voice will always be superior though.

  • @jjjuhg

actually this guy could sing better than us and probably is a great singer. It just happens to work on this particular tune to use the hard auto-tune for the effect that it does. You cannot use karaoke / live sounding vocals on dance house club music. You do 20 songs with no auto-tune , pitch correction, nothing , and your voice sounds awesome, then, you come up with one song like this one and everybody starts hating . wtf ?

the old Ehoplex, man I remember a guy had one .. fun in the day.. cuz you could use cassette tape, and cut part of a song out of a cassette and use it as an effect, shorter the distance much as possible, worked.. 80ms... wet against dry is the real echo slap

autotune is an instrument and when used well it sounds great. But like a guitar , just because you have it doesn't mean you can make it sound good..... This is one of those times.

When the inevitable (and hopefully vitriolic) backlash against auto-tuned vocals hits sometime in the not too distant future a lot of records from the last decade are going to sound HORRENDOUSLY dated overnight...
