I used to listen to EDM back in middle school. I stopped once I hit high school. 2 years after high school, I met Her. She brought it back into my life. This was one of the songs she showed me when we first met.. as there were many songs that represented the flourishing and new found love at the beginning. Nearly 3 years later, after have moving in together and all we have been through. This song has a different feel to it. Because now it is true. She left me for another man. She said she would never do something like cheat. The irony. --- This is for my men out there. Don't sacrifice yourself or your happiness for someone else. If you feel like your life is shit, then pick up your fuckin bootstraps and get to work. Stop complaining. Stop reminiscing in the past. Don't think about what was or could have been. Even in your darkest days, if you just look up, you can see the light. Follow the path you were meant to walk. And that path is your truth. Who are you? Who is it that you want to be in this world? That girl probably left you because you weren't the best you could have been. And if you weren't the best YOU, you could have been...then you definitely attracted someone who was of equal value. Speaking from an EDM fan perspective, the acoustic version is definitely better than the EDM version. I find this EDM version build up to be over-hype and the drop doesn't have the oompf the build up brings. Nevertheless, I like both versions and I actually found the EDM version before I found the acoustic version

Tbh the drop was a bit disappointing considering how that buildup was done. I was lowkey expecting a big chord melodic dubstep/future bass. The intro was beautiful though.

Acoustic version is good but original is legendary.

Okay but can I say the cuts between 2:50 - 3:19 are like honestly breathtaking. I don't know, like, it all just adds to the overall aesthetic of the video and it amazes me every time how they sync up with the beat. I also just discovered SLANDER and my ears are so blessed. I've been wanting to discover an artists' music that takes me through an emotional experience and really makes me try to interpret the song and make me *feel* something. This. This is it.

Listening to this today, makes me feel like i have heard this like 10 years ago. What’s with this song being new and old at the same time. Loving it.

I've been listening to this song since a long period of time and today I was missing her a lot and thought to check the video and today I'm regretting a lot that why didn't I come to see this video before. The lyrics and the beat drop were already so good and this video made me feel a lot of stuff. I also remembered how I wanted to be an astronaut but due to family financial issues of my family and gave up on that dream. Currently I'm 19 running and thanks to this video for giving me a lot of feeling and emotions back.
