    Once finished you need to add some titanium skid blocks to protect the important underneath bits. Would create a great show with the sparks. Maybe call it Sparky 😉

    Exciting stuff, it's gonna look mad when its done. How about widening the front mudguard, legshield and rear loop? May help hide the chunkier shocks, and disguise the cut out on the rear loop. A wide body Lambretta dropped on the floor, no one's done that!

    try positioning the front shocks more forward on the link arms...gets more clearance to the forks and gives more force on the shocks to decompress them...might loose a little bit of total extension height 👍👍

    Brilliant video mate and what a project! Excited to see where it goes from here... As for the front hub I've had an idea but not sure if it will even work. If you flipped the hub so the brake and speedo drive are at the other side and swapped the links it may make everything work because it would function the exact same as the forks normally work because you have flipped them too. However easier said than done, you'd have to try it and find out if that could work!

  • @CobwebGarage

    @CobwebGarage

    Hi. That is a great idea, thanks, and definitely worth some thought. I guess my worry is that in effect, the hub would then always be running backwards, whether or not that has any implications safety wise. And the speedo drive would be going backwards? At the moment, it's upside down, but it would be going down the road in the same direction it was before. Also, I actually have an internal disc brake hub to possibly go on, so maybe I'll check out the implications on that hub. Many thanks for the comment and thoughts, really appreciated.

    @@CobwebGarage Yeah the speedo is an issue but a magnetic one could be fitted to bypass cable issues. I'm not sure of any issues with the wheel going backwards but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. Keep in mind the disc hubs used different style links to the drum hubs so you'll need disc links and modify them again like you have in the video.

    With the wheel on backwards the speedo won't work and the brake shoes won't be as affective

  • @CobwebGarage

    @CobwebGarage

    Oh, the same as every Lambretta I’ve owned then. 🤣🤣🤣 It’s not actually backwards, the wheel hub is spun upside down, to make the locating pin work. Thanks though. I do have an internal disc brake hub to go on, do you think that’ll be fine?
