@@Unluckylukii I.N's voice cracked in one of the performances and he felt so bad about it because he wanted to do well.(He still did great.) He cried because he thought he ruined the performance.

@@tamashollo3870 it was so heartbreaking :( it happens to everyone, I do vocal lessons and stuff and tbh my voice still cracks a ton (and it happens more when you are nervous bc ur vocal chords aren’t as relaxed or something idk my vocal teacher said something like that 😅)) anyways I felt so bad watching that :(( if anything, voice cracking just proves he’s singing live

6:00 - YES, thank you! Honestly I think the color/tone is what really makes “the Felix Effect” so powerful, and so perennial. Low pitches can be sort of impressive, especially when you’re not expecting them, but it’s the tone that’s really blowing people’s minds imho

I love Bangchan’s voice. Like really really really like. His Christmas performance with other idols and Seungmin is so perfect. His voice is so heavenly. I wish he performs on Lee Mujin too!

I’m a bass singer in a (female) barbershop unit, so i might know a thing or two about deep voices and singing, but Felix is literally my heart every time he opens his mouth. I was saying the same thing you did just yesterday that he adds so much color to their songs, they would feel so empty without him and his lower tones. There’s hitting that low note, which other members can do, and then there’s Felix hitting it, and it’s just so immensely satisfying. That his actual range expands three octaves is insane too! I love his mixed voice just as much and want to hear more and more of it. It’s very smooth, thick, and sweet like honey. I’m delighted that such a person exists and can make me cry with just their singing. If I continue to fangirl over Lee Know’s voice and his efforts, then this comment would never end, truly. So another time maybe. Also yes to that feeling of being a Stay, I feel like such a part of a community in this fandom, and supported by the boys themselves. It’s a real blessing to be a Stay.

Yes, you 're write again, Ma'am! Felix hits me many times with his voice.

The point about Felix's color in that register is something I've seen soooo many people not grasp. "I can name ten other kpop singers off the top of my head who can sing that low. He's not special!!!!!" So can I -- I mean, literally every single member of SKZ can hit all or nearly all of the low notes Felix does. _I_ can hit nearly all of those low notes. But it seems like most people who aren't vocalists or don't have musical backgrounds don't understand that there's a difference between "can hit a note" and "can sing a note with quality." I can consistently hit all but maybe 2-3 of Felix's lowest notes (I've hit all of them at some point, but some days, my voice said no), and I can hit higher than all eight members. That doesn't mean I have good or distinctive quality throughout that entire range. Felix will sing those low notes more richly and colorfully than I; any legit soprano will sing those high notes more clearly and beautifully than I. "So-and-so can hit that note too!!!!!" isn't the flex that so many people think it is. _Quality_ is the difference. The timbre, color, control, ease of those notes, not "can technically reach the same frequency." I wish more people understood this.

Felix has a fabulous timbre to his voice, I think that's the difference.

You get an aussie accent when you watch too much skz content. Can relate.

You’re absolutely right, sometimes people don’t understand what means to be part of a fandom as Stays, or just stand K-pop groups (I’m Italian and here K-pop is somethings that not everyone get). Every time you talk about how Changbin makes that raspy fry voice because he's a good singer who knows his voice, I remember one of his Two Kids Room with Felix telling him how jealous he was of his voice. And how he had to learn to make his voice raspy and dark when Felix has it just naturally. Pretty proud of both and their learning path. Makes their duet even more cool ~~

I always appreciate you taking the time to explain the mechanics that make a performance special. I was surprised by the choice of song for First Take. I was expecting There or Lost Me or DLMLU to highlight their vocals. It was helpful that you explained how the strength of their singing is itself a vocal expertise.

I just want to point out also that they are singing the Japanese version of 143, so props to our boys singing in another language!

Hanji is my singer/performer, but today Bang Chan has opened for us his unusual vocal side and performed during SKZ concert in Osaka the opening from anime Chainsaw man: I'd never heard him singing in such rock style before, I'd never heard him GROWLING before today. SKZ' leader is struly something else .... I often think about how versatile as vocalists Han and Chan are and confident they've always been on stage probably due to being jype trainees the longest

I am getting addicted to your reaction videos, they are brilliant, I love quality technical content, not people who just go "wow" "I loved it" etc but don't give any valuable information/critique. As a singer and vocal coach myself, I find your analysis on both technique and style amazing. I'm not sure sure if you've ever listened to hellevator but I'd be interested to see your reaction to their first performance of the song as JYP classified it was actually being unreasonably difficult for them to sing because of the keys some of it went to (girl group keys) I'd love to see a retroactive analysis considering you'd be able to give very good commentary on how they've grown.

At first I'm like "oh no 17 minutes review" but listening to how you break it and all that, it felt short yet veeeery insightful. Really enjoyed your review!

When I studied singing my teacher told me "you'll have to scream" whenever I encountered something like those "call out" verses and it really helped. It's no quite a scream, but just like you explained.

Please react to their First Take "Lost me". Their vocals in there is so so good.

you should react to #LoveSTAY if you haven't already heard it because that song is absolutely beautiful and will make you cry. Or listen to more of their independent songs since you reacted to Felix's Deep End here's some of my recommendations if you decide you wanna listen to some- I Hate to Admit by Chan, Miss You by Hyunjin, Alien by Han, Hug Me by I.N, Stars and Raindrops by Seungmin, Limbo by Lee Know really shows off more of his relaxed singing voice, and Streetlight by Changbin featuring Chan lets you hear a little bit of Changbins voice without the heavy fry. They obviously have more songs but those are some of my favorites that I think show us sides of them that we don't get to see a lot. Edit: omg I almost forgot about Up All Night by Chan, Changbin, Felix, and Seungmin that song is such a vibe

I wish they perform " lost me " or " there" so u could see their strong and soft vocals Specially from changbin hyunjin felix! You will be surprise so I hope u reaction to those songs in their new Japanese album
