SKZ Family was created in an episode of The 9th in 2019 for Chuseok. It was brought back in 2021 for a STAYweeK special video, and once again for Chuseok in 2023 for two episodes of SKZ CODE.
It is one of Stray Kids's most popular variety, due to its sitcom format and household drama. The plot of SKZ Family is also a topic of conversation between the fans and the members. SKZ Family originated a lot of fandom jokes and members dynamics, that are used outside of the context of the roleplay.
