@@matthewcornelison4786 Yea they are terrible. They ran several rabbits all day, circled multiple times and accounted for every rabbit. Who would want dogs like that?

My number is 304-6293826. You can text me. That is a video several years old so that is probably the Sony HDRFX-550v. I have great success with the Sony cameras. I think they have the best stabilizer by far. Also I am about as hard on a camera as anybody and they seem to take a ton of abuse. That is not to say that other cameras do not do the same. I just stick with what works. I now have a Sony 4K FDRAX33 and find it to be a amazing camera. Let me know what you have.

Gloves got me once, I started cutting my trigger finger off,,,, Learned another lesson, Luckily the gun didnt fire, Had our guns laying on the ground to keep a dog from knocking them over, a dogs foot got hung up in the trigger guard for a couple seconds, Luckily the safety stayed on

+Nick Murray I actually have a sony action camera and a mount for the dogs. It has to be in a place with no brush. I have done it a few times but the dogs always end up getting stuck in the brush with the camera.

I would not want these guys around a shooting range. The way they shoot somebody could get hurt.

We generally hunt with Thompson Encore 410 pistols. They are our weapons of choice.

If I stand still how will I get video of the dogs? WEMe are more interested in the running of the dogs than the killing of the rabbit. It's all about the dogs and having fun.

You guys kill me worrying about speed. Don' remember how many rabbits but several and all were accounted for. I assume you did not watch the liter part where the scent had changed and the speed did pick up. No they are not fast dogs but they don' lose rabbits.

The camera man needs to stay put,you keep turning the rabbit.

If the camera man stays put there is no video. The dogs actually have the ability to turn the rabbit. None of the guys are concerned about killing the rabbit. Our mission is for the dogs to have a good run and for us to all have some quality time.

I don’t see how you all kill any rabbits. Way too much talking and hollering back and forth. Rabbits ain’t deaf and they know how to avoid a talking hunter.

I thought the same thing about all the noise and moving around, definitely not helping out your dogs

You all would get more footage of the rabbits trying to elude the dogs if your camera man could learn to stand still and more importantly BE QUIET instead of wandering around and talking to the shooters, killing their chance of seeing the bunny, plus too much noise generally turns the rabbit from his natural path once again, creating twice the work for the dogs! Guys that make too much noise or movement while my dogs are working rarely hunt over my dogs again. That said, you have some really fine dogs in that group! Great job, trainers!

I appreciate the info but the owner of the dogs is the camera man and all the guys there could care less about killing the rabbit. We are there to enjoy the dogs and for hanging out together. If we turn the rabbit we figure the dogs will turn the rabbit. We don't have a rabbit population where we can afford to shoot a bunch of the rabbits. We are just out to enjoy the day. I am really sorry you did not enjoy the video. I understand we can't please everybody but There are guys who do enjoy what we do.

@@mcardery2k I didn't say anything about "killing the rabbit". I think you missed my point. Go ahead and shoot every rabbit, several times, do it with the camera if you don't want to do it with the gun! Keep moving around and your audience can watch dogs chasing ghosts because rarely do we get a chance to see the rabbit, making for some slow action video. This was just some advice on how to film or shoot more game, take it or leave it. Also, I never said I "didn't enjoy the video". P.S. The phrase is; all the guys there "couldn't" care less about killing the rabbit. I couldn't care less whether you kill rabbits either., but it would be nice to see what your dogs are working so hard to show us! Great group of dogs! Again, great job of training and raising! I'm not only impressed, as a former breeder and trainer myself, I can see the hours invested in these canines. Great job!

Sounds like you did not enjoy the video. We understand not everybody is going to be happy. Maybe a few others and try to understand we do this for the dogs. We don't have a rabbit population that we can kill 8 or 10 rabbits each trip out.

You guys talk and move around too damn much. Set up and shut up if you want to kill the rabbit sometime in this century. Don't chase dogs cause a rabbit will see your movement and change it's line. Don't talk cause a rabbit hears great and will change it's line if it hears you. Rabbit hunting with dogs 101.

You would be right if we were worried about killing the rabbit. We are about running dogs and having a good time. We could care less if anybody kills the rabbit. When the rabbit is dead you no longer have anything to run. In our area that may be the last rabbit you will find.

@@budwatkins5 I appreciate everybody's comments. I don't expect all to like what we are doing. Most of us guys run dogs at least 5 days a week all year long. We pleasure run, hunt and lastly we field trial. In WV rabbits are really scarce. Our objective wis to run the rabbit and not lose it. We don't worry about speed but want them to go as fast as scent will allow them to go. The worst thing they can do is race each other and give up the rabbit. I think you could see we were most of all having fun. Feel free to post anytime regardless of what you have to say. They are posted to the public so that makes them fair game to public post.

Dude get off the dogs and let them work Or at least start barking
