I remember playing morrowind on the Xbox as a little boy but I really grew up on oblivion started playing oblivion on day 1 release at 6 years old. And I’m 23 now still playing oblivion. I thinks it’s the better game than Skyrim as oblivion actually feels like an rpg game and Skyrim feels more like an adventure hack n slash. Mainly because even on master difficulty once your like level 20-25 in Skyrim your basically unstoppable lol

ALSO!! you can fast travel in this game. You don't have to wait to travel to all the city locations ❤ you'll have to wander around to find all the forts, Alleyid ruins, caves, and Daedric statues, but it's fun exploring the world!

the time i realized the aylied's dungeons were ALSO a elven dungeon (just like the dwemer dungeons from skyrim), but a different race it BLEW MY MIND.

Its my personal favorite in the franchise. Imo it has a more 'epic' story than Skyrim and you HAVE to do the guild questlines. All of them are really fucking good. Hope you enjoy the game man!

Wait until you mod it. Detailed textures, extra scenary, cooler weapons and armor, most bugs removed, leveling fixed... mind you, make sure to make a copy of your "data" folder before modding. And it takes a lot of work to download the mods and getting them working. I recommend to install at least "Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul", it's quite painless and it fixes most of the problems with the game.

no, there aren't dragons in cyrodiil, they've been around since forever but they were revived once alduin time traveled, pretty neat.

gemstones and ore aren’t used for anything in Oblivion, you can’t craft arms and armor

i completed oblivion modded it i kinda got bored and i started playing skyrim pretty far its nice but im not used to the new menu and i have no idea what to do , you should complete the mainquest in oblivion its cool

there aren’t any dragons before Skyrim (except for the ones that are) there aren’t any flying enemies in Oblivion, but there are randomly spawning Oblivion Gates after you get far enough into the main quest, like in Skyrim also, if you get accosted by a Bandit Highwayman, just give him the 100 gold. It’s bugged so you don’t lose anything, but you can kill him afterwards to get it edit, just saw you got him after i made this post, obviously it only works if you yourself have over 100 gold 😅

Nice, i'm surprised u actually got it working, its notorious of how incompatible and buggy it is. Mine crashes every 40 minutes or so, after i installed all mods that supposedly prevent it from crashing. LOL

I'd agree that oblivion's combat felt better than skyrim's if every weapon didnt feel like a limp noodle and archery was completely useless. Also, leveling up is counter intuitive. I still have fond memories of oblivioin, but its just so rushed and so jank. Morrowind was fun though, but also a bit painfully slow at first... and ugly, but thats kind of true of all bethesda games. Great enviornments, ugly models.
