Been using the plantation home, so far it’s the most convenient. Has everything right there and don’t have to deal with load screens.

A redeeming factor about Shadowfoot Sanctum is that you dont have too leave it to Fast Travel, you can open the Map inside and just Travel from there.

Lakeview is my favorite house even with the new houses available. It is close to Riverwood and Whiterun, there are several fishing sites on the lake and the view is stunning if you build a tower. It does take a bit coin to get going, mainly because of the wood and iron, but what I really like about the Hearthfire homes is that while you are crafting the decorations you are leveling up your smithing. I always buy all of the Hearthfire homes because there isn't a better way, other than training, to level up in smithing. Once you get the plantation going than buying all the iron you need isn't really a problem. The second reason why getting the Hearthfire homes is a great strategy is because each one comes with a follower. Make the follower the steward of the house and you can then just buy what you need from them while also levelling up your smithing. What is a nice too, is that you can have the steward follow you again if you need them. The third reason for Hearthfire homes is perfect for survival. You can hire a carriage and that carriage will take you to any town, inn or mill you have visited. If you are playing survival, that is a must-have in my book. The new aquariums are a neat addition to the Hearthfire houses along with the Morthal house having a fishery. As far as I am concerned, the Hearthfire houses are still the best houses to get while playing Skyrim. You can put in a greenhouse for alchemy, a trophy room for some late game fun, an armory to display your prizes, a fancy kitchen, or a nice library--there are so many options you can have. If you own all the houses, then you can mix and match the areas in the houses to really have them all. I have been able to level up my smithing to Daedric level by just fitting out the different houses and I still have work to do so I should hit 100 in smithing before it is all over. I should also mention I own all the houses, both vanilla and addon, and I still think Hearthfire is the best.

Get the alteration spell transmute all Iron ore to silver to gold & forge gold rings. Levels smithing quicker also alteration and leaves you with rings to enchant for money.

@@THISISLolesh im pretty sure this guy means w/o power leveling. All leveling a non-combat skill fast gonna do for him is cause an even bigger headache as he runs around with his iron dagger trying to get ebony ignots and deadric hearts to at least be geared up for the boosted mobs he fights. Especially if he is playing Master or Legendary difficulty.

If your in survival and are tired of running to the plantation if you send your spouse to and set them as the steward then ask them to move to another home you can still claim your gold from them

About Myrwatch: Myr or Myri (Mýri) is old norse / icelandic for swamp or bog.

Bloodchill for me. Fantastic armory and very well thought out everyday facilities: cooking, crafting (yes, there's a smelter), wardrobe, garden. Oodles of convenient storage for the aforementioned everyday activities and your books, wardrobe and weapons. Nice compact layout too. And -- to address my pet peeve with so many custom homes -- there's no poltergeist causing baskets and vases to jump off the shelves every time you come home. I hate cleaning up after those bastards.

Tundra is for me best House (N.4) Fast teleport to it, cosy and small home and interior is very detailed and its well organised, loot of storage space and Armor show offs, just small cool cozy home, Plantation, bees, bit of everything in one place.

Bloodchill cavern is my number one. The trophy room is amazing and I love using the dungeon for my bone wolf/Cicero.

Honestly? Breeze home will forever and always be my favorite. Its compact, has all the things I need (enchanting table is just up the road at DR), I have a bad habit of throwing everyone into 1 chest by the bed though lol. Whiterun is my main go-to shopping and general living area simply for gameplay. For roleplay and aesthetics, whiterun seems a great place to raise a family, it feels safe and secure because of the walls and guards, and just like for gameplay its right next to everything.

Hendraheim is that high, I think, for the explicit places where you can put every unique item. Literally for just about anything in the game. I hate the location but it is a significant redeeming feature

@@HostmorkeCZ Bloodchill Cave was like that for me. There’s something going on where if too much gear is displayed the game crashes. It really takes a lot away from the game IMO.

I actually like the place myself, but not only I hate having to constantly cross over bear traps whenever I come from Whiterun, but completing the weapon racks require ya to kill Barbus, which I'd rather not do.

I love Breezehome! It is my favorite place to store stuff early game, and since it’s right in town, there is easy access to shopkeepers so I can sell crap from all the armor and potions I make to level my alchemy and blacksmithing skills. I haven’t played the anniversary edition yet, so I don’t know how I feel about some of those homes, but Breezehome is probably my favorite from the vanilla game.

For me a Playerhome must be near a Carriage or Boat, since I dont use Magic-Travel. Thats why I like the Heartfire Homes because you can by a Carriage for it.

Couple of points to add: Goldenhill Plantation is also a great point to farm ... Dragons! as they fly around that area pretty regularly :). Shadowfoot Sanctum (probably my favorite place) is terrible for Survival mode as you basically get the Wet debuff as soon as you leave. On a positive note you can actually Fast Travel from inside the house, which is I think unique compared to the other houses (and I only found out lately). Don't leave too many followers in Shadowfoot though, or you will break your neck tripping over them.

I spend a loot of time choosing the right home. Lakeview Manor has everything you need (only lacks on the manequins) and you can fill the house with a wife, two kids, a bard and a housecarl. All the anniversary houses you can only have a wife and kids and some houses lacks on the chests. In my opinion the most things a house need is enchanting, alchemy, smithing, plantation, chests and safes.

i love how breeze home made the list i didnt vote for it but is still nice to have and in survival mode is still nice to have a place in town, the only thing i dont like about the number one pick is i wish it had storage by the cooking station isnt a big deal but would make it nice

I suspect the reason some people voted the dwarven house onto the list is because of all the houses, this one has some big empty-ish rooms that you can fill with junk and fus-ro-dah it to your heart's content.

Hehe Myrwatch was a savior. I thought it was some kinda dungeon but was on survival freezing to death. Wanted to get in to thaw out. Had fun figuring it out while dodging the charus. Walked in and was in for a nice surprise as I stealthed around thinking it was a dungeon lok

If u fast travel to the riften docks.. just jump over that rail and the shadowfoot entrance is right there.. im really liking shadowfoot right now as im going through the thieves guild quests..

If you want a Dwemer-Home go to Markarth. The CC one is really wasted potential on a "big scale" (pun intended). Especially considering Survival Mode. My Favourites would be: 1.) Windstad Manor 2.) Goldenhills Plantation 3.) Shadowfoot Sanctum/Myrwatch (SFS/MW) Here's why: - Goldenhills is self-explainatory. - Windstad is the best out of the 3 HF Homes in the AE. Because of the Fishing CC and the additional Fish you can put in your Fish-hatchery. - Windstad (as all HF Homes) also comes with a Carriage which is free of charge and takes you also to small towns and even settlements like Rorikstead or Darkwater Crossing. - SFS / MW for displaying my trophies. SFS is in Riften at the Docks where the Fishery is, but MW is in Morthal same as Windstad, so it kinda depends on what I'm going with. I really like the Fact in Survival Mode that you can take a carriage from every Major City to Morthal for Windstad/MW and from Windstad to Rorikstead for your Farm and from there take the horse. Btw. I highly recommend Marcurio as Steward for Goldenhills. His "Idle" Dialog makes way more sense than the one of many others and he OBLITERATED a Dragon & a Giant attacking my Farm. This Dude is a Beast as a Steward. How about a Vote for your fav. Steward / Farmhands?

Hendraheim is a beautiful home, but one of the bigger negatives for me has to be the buggy manikin duplication exploit. Any armor you apply to the manikins basically get locked to them. You can take the armor off but if you save and reload your game the armor re-appears on the manikin even though you have the items in your inventory. So if you want to duplicate any magical pieces of armor or clothing to sell, disenchant, or get for your follower there you go. It breaks the immersion for myself but the exploit can be useful, until they decide to patch it. GOLD FARM PLANTATION FTW!!!!

If you do not like an exploit, then do not use the exploit. Just cause it exist does not mean you MUST use it. Just ignore it, I am SURE it is not the only odd thing in your play through that you just have to ignore, like hovering/falling cows and mammoths. Immersion breaking YUP! Will I stop fast-traveling, NOPE!

Hey! Derknomicon! Never thought I'd see you here! Love your Builds, man! Yeah I have that bug with Hendraheim as well. For future reference, just make sure you know exactly what armour you want on each mannequin, lol. I love to Tundra Homestead because of that glitch. You plan to implement some of the new AE Content into any future Builds?

I only have a few (so far) of the anniversary homes, but because my family weighs so heavy on my roleplaying, I have a hard time choosing anything other than Lakeview Manor or Proudspire Manor in Solitude. Proudspire feels the safest, as far as no giants or bandits regularly outside the home, plus kids in town for my kids to play with, but Lakeview feels the homiest. On aesthetics alone, I'm going to try moving the gang to Hendraheim. If Hendraheim doesn't pan out, it's to the Tundra Homestead. Ultimately, I'll probably try living in each of them and the fam will use their already honed packing up and moving skills to their fullest.

My spouse is Lydia and I used the Resto Loop to give our kids daggers that could one shot a god. My family is perfectly safe where ever I park them. Currently they're at TH but I'm thinking about moving everyone to the plantation.

Don't know if you tried moving to Hendraheim but I ran into a bug where my spouse would not get up from the bed, tried everything, had to load an earlier save from before moving.

I'll update if I run into the same issue. I can't imagine Vilkas just laying around in bed all day, but we'll see. :D Edit: Vilkas! Not Farkas. Can't even remember the name of my own spouse.

@@pepsicooper9869 As a heads up, I've had a few serious bugs with Hendrahiem. One, sometimes when you place an item on a weapon rack, the item cannot be taken again. Two, the Ebony Blade display in the basement has a habit of popping out the blade for no reason. It's on the floor, but it's understandable if you think that it just completely disappeared. Third, it's super easy to permanently mess up some of the decorations. None of the smaller items are nailed down because the creator of it said it was too much work to individually nail everything down. Fourth, while this hasn't personally happened to me yet, there have been reports of the smelting/crafting area sinking halfway into the ground

When it comes to the best player home, the mod Elianora’s Breezehome SE mod is my pick for a well put together reimagining of the vanilla home.

The farm, to me, seems to be inspired by the Helharchen Farm, but simplified.

That new big dwemer home that came with the AE and the two year old CC houses like myrwatch and hendraheim are probably the best for me.

For me houses like gallows hall and the plantation are just the best Not only do the provide unique and powerful benefits (money and black soul gems) But they actually feel like they belong on the game, so many player homes feel too big or fancy for the game world, it's nice to have really cool emersive houses

Myrwatch is really cool but it has 2 major downsides for me. The first and this actually applies to a lot of the CC homes is that they are to dark and poorly lit. The second would be that I hate the sound effect of the portal door and wish you could make it silent. I usually play with headphones on and that door drives me crazy with its constant noise.

I feel that the shadow foot is the best you can display everything it’s insane and once you return the guild to former glory you have a lot of merchants it’s incredible it has smelter anvil grindstone tanning wrack and your irk bench and it’s in riften it’s amazing

I love the Dwemer home. It’s amazingly done, plus plenty of room so it’s not all cramped and cluttered, which is a must if you have a lot of followers. Nothing bugs me more than not being able to maneuver because the stupid AI of the followers block you and refuse to move, let alone when they sit at a table and like 20+ loose items and decorations go flying across the room because there are too many items on the table. The only downside is that you can’t make Dwemer Animunculi followers.

problem with Chillwind/Bloodchill cavern is that for many players, myself included ,its often crashes to desktop when you do stuff inside . some even reported corrupted savefiles across all platforms .

Tundra feels very practical. My 1 problem with it is that it's not believable that it wouldn't get robbed. You couldn't possibly make up a more suitable house for robbing - it even has smithing right next to the road, as to boast about the riches inside, and ofc it's right next to a city so that everyone knows about it.

I just like to think word gets around fast especially when it's related to the Dragonborn...who in their right mind would attempt to rob the guy/girl that kills dragons and devours their souls for a living.

Really surprised the homes in solitude and the homes you can build weren't listed. Plus the house in riften

I like to use Nchuanthumz as some sort of personal secret vault, where I can store all my Dwemer equipment and most dangerous weapons. It's too annoying to use it regularly, so I just go there once in a while to unload the most precious equipment

im absolutely in love with Myrwatch, i like to roleplay its my tardis hehe

I like the Breezehome in Whiterun. Always use it as my go to.

Breezehome is probably popular due to mods. I personally use Minimalist Breezehome (adds planters, alchemy/enchanting to the master bedroom, a mannequin, and some other minor stuff), Breezehome Basement (adds a basement with almost full crafting, the only things missing are a staff enchanter and wood chopping block), and Whiterun Little Garden (adds more planters accessable via trap door in Breezehome's backyard).

I play in survival. I just unlocked the necromancer house but I mainly stay in myrwatch and the bloodchill manor. Cold shmold

I have to be honest, I always go back to the Hearthfire homes. If playing survival, working on the home/s may serve well for the diehard "immersion" folks. It does give you a rewarding feeling, working on them and finally getting them fleshed out. I like their accessibility. A few steps here or there, and you're where you want to be to smith, brew, or enchant. For me though, as a survival player, the carriage is the real selling point. I don't know why more of the "out there" homes didn't consider adding them (or stables for that matter). No way is my main base going to be in an area where I have to make long runs/rides to, simply to drop off stuff from one single quest...then make my why back out again. The one thing that would make Hearthfire better is obviously more displays. CC homemakers understand the collector spirit better than Bethesda, I guess. Also, they may seem cramped to some people. I personally have no issues with it.

TNF Skyrim house remodel mod really boosts the city homes interiors nicely

Really don't understand why bloodchill is catching so much flak. Once you adjust to the low lighting, it's brilliant! Especially the armory and smithing areas. You know it's a great design when there's viable resources (soul gems, alchemy ingredients, potions, etc) literally everywhere, however you don't use them because everything looks too amazing to move. Its become my fave home. Cant get how some of the others got higher on this list.

My main base of operations has been ebongrove it's got all of your smithing and enchanting requirements it has your alchemy table but it also has a staff enchanter there's not a lot of display cases but it's more of an outpost than a house I'd say. I use Hymdrahiem to show off my collection as well as Dovadien

Blood Chill Manor is an AWESOME home but yes, as someone who plays in survival mode, it is a royal pain to use because of the difficulty getting to and from it. I can only assume that VolForge was not an option but it is in my top three (would be number one but again, it is kind of in the middle of nowhere).

Honeyside is my favorite “old” home. Golden hill is really nice but the dragons attack every time I fast travel there, lol. Myrwatch chaurus has killed 2 of my horses so there’s that….

With the good old mark and recall spell from mods, I realy like Severin Manor in Raven Rock.

Complex Winsted-Myrwatch + Lakeview are my favourite, as I play in survival mode. Easy acces to (cariages to Morthal / Solitude/Falkreth/Riverwood) and out and plenty of combined storage. 2nd fav is complex Tundra + Breezehome

Hierm was eye opening for me. I’ve only ever used Breezehome until recently and the amount of crap that came with it lol. Suffice to say I wasted a LOT of time spamming enchants to fill up the display cases and stealing books to fill up the shelves. Looking forward to checking out the rest on the list.

Fun fact: the quest to get bloodchill cavern completely changes if you have already joined the volkihar vampires.

My favorite house is honeyside, it's vanilla and has all you need for multiple different builds, supported by storage. Yeah you can't display your work but it does the job. Now I do agree with he #1 pick of this video that plantation makes you good money and has so much to offer. But I bounce between golden hills and honeyside.

I’m honestly in love with bloodchill, but terrified as well. Hendraheim was the first one I got when I first upgraded well over a year ago, and immediately after moving in, it would crash. I mean, no chance to work around it type of crash, couldn’t even get past the loading screen. He was my “achievement hunter” character and was purely vanilla and had been for years. He was my main and I was very attached. This was so devastating that I hadn’t played since, and Skyrim is my comfort game, something I’ve turned to from my first day of high school to my last day in the Marine Corps and all the crazy stressful bumps along the way. This moment, losing every unique weapon and outfit in the game, I put it down. Finally upgraded to PS5 and am giving her another go, and this time I hard save every time before I leave a player home but I’m still worried I’ll have to reload hours.

I LOVE Tundra Homestead! It is the perfect adventuring home, with everything all right there. My only gripe is the single chest down in the gallery, having just one extra chest to sort armor from weapons would of went a long way.

I was going to make Tundra Homestead my main house. But, when I moved Ysolda, Lucia, and Sophie there...Ysolda asked me to leave and would not let me sleep there. In survival mode that was, a killer. Even after moving Ysolda and the kids to another house I still cannot sleep there when traveling through. The never ending, always there truth about Skyrim is, BUGS.

Shadowfoot is nice once the thieves guild is complete cause you are really close to like 5 traders all with tons of money. You can buy a bunch of smithing supplies then go home and craft a bunch and return to sell. I also like how you can have the overflowing gold chest and fill it with gems and just see how many you eventually accumulate once money stops being an issue.

Hjerm is cool for the secret room, the cool serial killer past, and it has pretty lighting.

Tundra homestead is by far the best all round house in Anniversary lols

Nice recap Jade! I'd love to see a breakdown of how many people who voted were/were not using Survival Mode, as my votes were absolutely affected by that. Bloodchill Manor is a great example: it's a fantastic well-designed home but my god it's a pain to get to-unless you're using fast travel. Hendraheim is another great example; if you're playing with Fast Travel, no worries and Bob's your uncle, but without it, Hendraheim suddenly becomes much less attractive. Thanks for the vid, sir! Cheers! Edit: Shadowfoot Sanctum has a secret entrance; in the pool in the entrance area is a door that goes out to the Riften Docks, which makes getting in and out a little less painful-and it's thematic to have a surreptitious entrance!

Shezrie's Breezehome I use it’s amazing mod the makes breeze home amazing!

I tried using others as main stays and they just don't give the same feel. But have to say my favourite out of any house is land you buy from falkreth once finished it is my absolute, I often use other houses until its completed.

Bloodchill Manor crashes like crazy after I put so many armor pieces on display. I was hoping they fixed it in the latest patch but they didn’t. Myrwatch crashed a little bit too, but not nearly as bad as Bloodchill. I really like Bloodchill, but will avoid storing gear there for now. Will just use it as a place to get supplies and sleep for now. Hopefully they can drop a patch to solve these crashes.

I normally make one of the build yourself houses as my crafting house and if I have a kid or two I keep them somewhere other than my crafting house .

Hendraheim is one of my favorite homes, but it improves with the mod Quaint Hendraheim. It adds a bath and extra bedrooms, as well as alchemy and enchanting tables. It also changes the furnature arrangement of the main bedroom.

Having the chest, smelter, and amithing area outside is huge for Goldenhills.

Hendrahiem is cool asf tbh. I dont mind where it is but it does have that endgame feel to it. Collect everything and put it all on display

Its a 3 way tie for me. Windstad for the hatchery , plantation for free gold and plant space , and tundra for the special item slots like claws and stuff. Edit : i see bloodchill has the claw spots. Does it also have the bug jar spaces and paragon places ?

Yes. Bloodchill has them all. Infact you have place for 14 Masks whereas Tundra has only 12 Masks. Dunno why, both are from Elianora. Btw. Windstad also comes with a personal Carriage which could also drive you free of charge to (almost) ALL Settlements in Skyrim, incl. Darkwater Crossing or Rorikstead. Goldenhills for planting and generating cash, Windstad to work in and Bloodchill/Myrwatch for "Display" (Myrwatch only, because it's "close" to Windstad and I don't need to travel far. Survival Mode always considered. (No Fast Travel from Map) Also I like to take the Carriage from Windstad to Rorikstead to go to my Farm. And from any Major City like Rifton to Morthal. It's even worth building all 3 HF Homes for the Carriages in Survival Mode^^ EDIT: If you wanna get Bloodchill Manor, I suggest doing the Quest as a Vampire (Normal/Royal don't matter). The Quest is way harder if you're against the Vampires instead of with them.

I quite enjoy the farm, hendraheim and bloodchill manor.

Hjerim is nice and big and was my first house, my only problem with it is its a pain to run from the fast travel point to it.

My favorite CC/mod home is jaggedfield and that’s probably a pure bias because it has an auto sort chest.

Hendraheim and the Plantation are easily the two best, as Hendraheim can be a universal base for Warrior, Archers or Mages as long as you are playing a more nature base Mage as the house isn't very mystical looking but more of a outdoorsy kind of feel and the Plantation for the ease of access to alchemy ingredients as plants grows in three days for a small yield in other homes and if you don't fast travel to your home every three ingame days can get a bit tedious for such a small yield even with the one perk to double your yield. So having automatic plant harvesting along with being able to manually harvest can give huge yields, so for me personally the gold making of the Plantation is just a bonus.

Anyone forget about houses sometimes, I have the houses in Riften and Solitude, so I'm worried about organizing those. The issue is I haven't done the main quest lines, I went through the college of winterhold and the theives guild first. I was surprised when I went through the archives quarters bc I completely forgot about it, lol.

if anything, i actually prefer having item specific weapon racks, because i personally don't know what weapons i should, and shouldn't put out on display, so i always end up going for those unique weapons, such as the daedric artifacts, unique CC weapons, and the unique DLC weapons (blood-skal blade, auriel's bow, etc.)

I’ve played Skyrim for a long time but never bought it on my PlayStation i just used Xbox game pass and played on my Xbox. Anniversary edition is $20 on ps so I thought I should pick it up and it’s been amazing coming back to it. I really wish I new about shadowfoot as I just completed the thieves guild quests. These guides have been great.

All neat looking homes, but my favorites come from 3rd party mods. I'm not a collector, so small and cozy homes are my favorites. Elianora's Tiniest Little Shack is, hands down, my favorite house. I bought Breezehome so I could adopt the homeless child in Whiterun and assigned Lydia to be her mentor and protector. Have rarely been back since.

I always end up adopting her and the child in Windhelm. She sleeps on paving stones in the freezing cold. Lydia is always their mentor.

Although Hjerim is difficult to get, it is one of the most spacious vanilla homes. Shops are also close by. Windsor manor is good for harvesting fish. It is close to solitude and relatively less bandit attacks .

My problem with Myrwatch is so many things keep falling off the shelves when I enter.

Myrwatch, Bloodchill Manor, Gallows Hall, Shadowfoot Sanctum, Goldenhills just for farming gold; They are I think are the best in game non-mod homes. Mod Homes - Amethyst Hollow, Riverside lodge Probably the only 2 you will actually need unless one of the above homes is the style for your character.

Breezehome is great and I have a mod that gives it a tower and spa bath and more 👍 I find as a non-vampire character that Bloodchill Cavern isn't my vibe and having to enter the cave then enter the house is annoying, if I'm going to do that I might as well live at Breezehome and be in a town! Otherwise I live at one of the Hearthfire homes

Tundra home outside whiterun is my fav

So the weapon racks in Hendraheim are super bugged. I placed all of the new greatswords on the racks and don't have the option to pick some of them back up from the rack. Guess Umbra, Ice Blade of the Monarch, and Chrysamere were fun for the 3 mins I got to use them for...

Breezehome is all about location, location, location.

Shadowfooot is my go to home. As a thief / assassin it is perfect

My favorite home is Heljarchen in the Pale, you buy from the Jarl for 5,000 gold and upgrade yourself the cellar is dope for a fisherman

Probably my favorite Hearthfire home too. The two civil war camps being in walking distance really helps with the resources needed to build it, an also convenient vendor's to sell to especially if you got the speech perks for merchants to buy anything. Also has one of my favorite housecarls being the only battle mage.

I liked Blood Chill but I don't like the fact that you have to be a vampire to get it. I absolutely LOVE the Collage Of Winterhold theme with Myrwatch. Gallows Hall was another one I really liked but I'm not a pure mage build in Skyrim so it's not my kind of home to live in. My favorite would have to be Tundra Homestead. I love the look of the house and the aesthetic of it.

I didn't join either vampire or dawnguard, I believe you just get a dinner invitation at level 10 and I go the house after the quest.

in terms of hjerim you don't need to become thane of windhelm - in order to unlock it you need to complete the blood on the ice quest by killing calixto and completed the civil war questline by either helping ulfric win or helping tulius win

Hideout = Shadowfoot Business/Family = Golden Hills Strongholds = Winstad + Myrwatch Family = Lakeview I have my reasons for these particular choices, but for my methods these are perfect.

I wonder how many people that voted for the vanilla city homes have them modded in their games? In my game I absolutely love my modded Breezehome, and find it to be my favorite player home for the first half of the game, before I move on to a hearthfire house. I haven't explored the new houses from AE yet but I'm going too when I start my new playthrough. But as I was saying. I was messing with my mod order and went to unmodded breezehome and was confused, as I've had the same house mod for 4 years, and I thought the vanilla house was bugged out because it was so barren.

i think a lot of people like me who love breezehome do so because on PC there are mods that make the best. It really is home after 10 years.

But it's not about modded homes. (And console has the same mods as PC for the most part) Yes Elianoras Breezehome is awesome af, but vanilla Breezehome is just a huge MEH! ^^

Even though it's an absolute pain to get, Hjerim still has to be one of my favorite Hold homes. The secret room an galley are awesome an Windhelm has a great market to sell stuff with an enchanter table out in the open.

I really wanted a house in Winterhold, build one in the same way as the other Hearthfire houses and get a Housecarl, or at least a smaller house, I wanted an official one from Bethesda not a mod.

Creation Club doesn't need to make more homes, they need a mod to create a WALL around the homes you have.

You can assign a steward and then buy upgrades from him.

I agree that the Bloodchill home is a personal favorite of mine, but not only killing that Waiter is a pain in the butt, but the location is rather inconvenient for survival mode.

I got that house after the completing the stormcloak side of the civil war quest line I don't even think I was his thane maybe it's different for everybody
