Hmm, decisions decisions. Watch hour long video about how to use creation kit, then spend an entire weekend trying to figure out how to actually do it yourself, OR, download a mod, watch this hero's 7 minute video, and just use console commands and racemenu that I know full well how to use already to achieve the exact same result. I still preffer creatión kit because if you want to put new animations in your follower, you will need the entitie ID from ck.

Dude, this is so dope, I always wanted to do this but I didn't feel like learning Creation Kit but now we can do it in-game. I already loaded my first ever made preset in the game and it was working good for about a minute but the glitch just happened where the NPC becomes un-interactable, and that glitch happened because I told her to follow me.. rip.

To fix that walk outside of the cell you are presently in and your follower should be intractable again.

@@JeanNebula Yes. Another option that works is saving and quitting to desktop. Once you reload in the follower should be interactable again.

1. make character do this thru making a new game precedingly with a alternate start mod and then just making a preset in menu 2. type in console "skee preset-save [name of the preset you want]" 3. open lazy followers in the character you want this follower in 4. plug in face preset 5. edit the follower details (weapon proficiency and all that crap) 6. save preset of both face and skills 7. spawn

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I follow the steps on the mod page. The preset saves successfully but can’t be loaded when I quit out and switch to my desired character save in which I want the follower in. Any insight on this?

@@chrishunt586 when u have the present made and you can see it in the nod in-game config menu (MCM) you have to select it in that menu which means leaveing on it's name and then spawn it in That part is the easy part so you might have just typed the command which saves the present to the MCM incorrectly

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I tried loading it using the mod’s MCM menu and when I clicked on presets it was blank. I typed skee preset-save (name) and I received “preset saved” in console. I then opened the MCM and went to the mod’s menu. Clicked everything I desired and went to load up the preset and it was blank

@@chrishunt586 if i could ask something great of you, i could instantaiously know what's wrong with a video but as per your description i think you installed either the MCM or the lazy followers mod incorrectly *lack of depedencies *in-correct load order (probably this one becuase load order is confuseing)j with the depdencies just install em and try again with the load order (i hope to hell you're useing mod organizer 2) you need to just run loot which is a function listed by the ESP tab which does it all for you. wont' fix it all but good luck charm and also list the mod depedencies before the mod that needs them and if that's not it then either it's somethign you overlooked or it's becuase of your skyrim version (that bit me in the ass trying to get into this) and you need to find the correct link to your skyrim version. steam = 1.64.XX skyrim og edition = 1.59.XX GOG = something i dunno best of luck

Edit. I’ve done a bit of research and it seems like it’s not the actual mod that’s bugged but, ‘racemenu’ is, I’ve found that a lot of people have been left clicking their character before doing the ‘save preset’ part, and it said to work. I’ll try it my self then let you guys know.

Mod organizer 2, presets are saved in the Overwrite file and I dont see a way to bring presets into LazyFollowers mod

Idk whats wrong but every slider in stats category I try to adjust and SAVE with enter doesnt allow me to save

Yeah its a good mod but have to be careful with changing characters often or you will have a nasty face bug. Was thinking of covering that mod don't know for sure yet.

I have an issue with proteus where followers additional inventory gets deleted every time I dismiss them, character swapping is unstable as well, missing items and stats change after swapping characters. Such a great concept but poorly implemented

I wouldn't count too much on Proteus, it gets pretty unstable.

I have one issue and that is nose size reset and it's reset to nose big size , no idea how to fix when i load the save file

Hey I just figured this out, put simply you follow his steps but left click on your character you should get an id number while in the console commands.

You have to copy NIF and DDS file generated with RaceMenu-HeadSculpt export feature in SKSE\Plugins\CharGen\ path to SKSE\Plugins\CharGen\Exported ;)

Don't see why you couldn't. If you have racemenu you can any thing you want and save. Then load it back up later.

Not sure, but didn't he use the console to save his character as a pre-set, then used Lazy followers to choose that same pre-set and make a follower? EDIT: Open console type in "skee preset-save X" With X being the name of the character you have just made, lets say, Summer! Then use Lazy followers and select "Summer", and make them a follower!

@@thewanderer2344 You can't edit the follower, it needs to be a preset for the character that you edit, then you can use Lazy Followers to create a follower from that preset. All editing is done before you create the follower, it's too late to do any more editing, after you have already created a follower.

There is a catch tho, you can't find your follower in another playthrough, you have to do it again, it's a save-based follower.

Sort of. The export is still saved so you don't have to recreate their appearance only their stats and voice and class.

When I write "skee preset-save Sky Edge" name of my character, it shows me "Expected end of line Compiled script not saved!" All mods necessary are activate Sorry for my english...

I don't think you can, it is the equivalent as creating a follower using the vanilla assets you'll have to manually change the directory of each mesh and texture and place it in an independent separated folder and then there's the mess of getting a custom made face work with all, but there are plenty of good tutorials out there on how to do a standalone follower, this one is for lazy people like me who actually created a standalone follower but the process was so tedious I don't want to repeat it

You can marry any follower by force marriage/recruit and that option is available in proteus se version mod but before doing that just save your game (just for safety purpose)so that doesn't do any glitch or bug or game crash

Sounds like you didn't pick the vanilla voice not for sure. Make sure all mods needed are installed and if you're still having issues ask on the mod authors page i'm sure they would be glad to help.

@@king26545 Imagino que hablas español. El proceso es muy facil. Checa la pagina del mod si pide algun requerimiento, creo que no, mas que tengas skse64. Despues de eso, en la consola abre el racemenu y dale la apariencia a tu personaje. Despues de eso, salte del racemenu. Despues de que te salgas del race menu, abre de nuevo la consola y escreibe skee preset-save + el nombre que le quieras poner a tu follower. Despues de eso, te vas al MCM del mod y en donde dice "npc name" es donde le daras clic y ahi saldra el nombre del personaje, tu preset. Checa el video xd, te dice todo

@@king26545 te recomiendo que uses el creación kit, porque sigue siendo más completo que este mod, debido a que si querés ponerle animaciones especiales a tu seguidor, solo lo podrás hacer via ck ya que necesitaras el id de tu seguidor en ck. Sumado a que podrás crear nuevas razas con poderes y stats únicos. Ni hablar que si sos mas avanzado y querés hacer una misión, la única forma de poner tu seguodor o cualquier npc en dicha misión sera mediante el creation kit.

@@onglorsmashgaming so I wanted to ask this cause I'm like having problems and idk what I did wrong. Everytine I switch from Main into Stats to change health and stamina etc, everything from the Main resets, not only that but it won't let me raise the health, stamina or magicka how I want. Also another thing, once you tell them to follow you, can you talk to them again to change gear? I tried to talk to them again but it didn't let me, wanted to know if it was just me or something.
