A Silt Strider?
I call it...Dusty!
I didn't play Morrowind but this could mean something to many people who have played it. I found it interesting from a far, at first I thought it was a new monster that went overboard with its size but don't worry, its not xD
P.S. You cant ride the Silt Strider =(
Hope you enjoyed the video...

Most likely. The eruption destroyed Vvardenfell, but there were surely some on the mainland. These things are pretty resilient, though most likely rarer that they used to be. Perhaps we could see one or two in a future game or DLC set in the east, such as a Black Marsh game or a Telvannis DLC.

Alex Florczyk it doesn't really do anything spectacular. The House you chose gets the most political influence as well as Indoril has gone to shit. The real deal happens with the oblivion crisis( tes 4) if a daedra invasion wasnt enough, Vivec just fucks off, letting theetror he stopped with his mind to pretty much destroy Southern Vvardenfel. The shockwave makes Red mt errupts destroying the rest of the island a large portion of the tellavani isles. Telavanni mages who weren't really teamplayers to begin with fragment even further. Hlaalu completely out of the picture, with its most prosperous region gone, and no Imperial support due to more important matters. (Such as Cyrodil being in complete disarray) After this Ana Xiel warriors from Black Marsh (Arhonia) invade Morrowind (cuz why tf not?) sparking slave rebellions on their path. The Anex the southern parts rendering H. Dres pretty much nonexistent. House Redoran steps up to save to day (to the other houses great altough powerless disagreement) and pretty much becomes the only faction with enough power to keep MW together. This is pretty much what happened.

As much as I would love to see them in future games, unless it's another one set in the past, it likely won't happen. At best, their species is in a bottleneck, and will take hundreds, if not thousands of years to repopulate them to numbers like they were before. At worst, Dusty is the last remaining silt strider. His statement of them being incredibly rare makes me inclined to go with that first part of them being in a bottleneck.

Just because the Dunmer got what was coming to them for turning their backs on the Three Good Daedra, it doesn't mean that it was all for nothing. Meanwhile neloth mentions he transported a few to solstheim. No reason they couldnt have had a 2nd by raven rock, being able to travel between here & say- raven rock. Add more morrowind nostalgia. Then again, solstheim is scaled down in the dragonborn dlc anyways lol

That's a great example of skyrim lore being bullshit. What exactly did this add to the lore in general? We won't return to Morrowind and if we do then faaar in the future, this piece of information just exists to make Morrowind fans depressed, nothing else, they could have easily just left this out and maybe make a silt strider fasttravel system between the Telvanni tower, the skall village and Ravenrock but no, they just couldn't resist breaking out hearts for no reason whatsoever as they tried to do with this whole "the last Telvanni" quest line in rifton which they immediately redconed again with the dragonborn dlc. Can't they just try to rehire Michael Kirkbride at this point so that they actually have a talented lore writer who did more than take a creative writing class in an kindergarten

This silt strider doesn't purr like the ones in Morrowind :/ But finally you can go on top of them because in Morrowind they were too tall to go on top of (x

First Jiub in the Soul Cairn and then Dusty on Solstheim. The first time i saw Dusty was, when i only heard the Silt Strider sound around me and was like "Hold on, you know that sound!" and then i found Dusty. The first time i encountered Jiub, i not immediately recognized him by his name, but his voice. And THEN i recognized his name. Then he tells the player about his story, gives you the quest for finding the pages of his Opus, i dropped everything to find those pages right there and then. Man, i miss old Bethesda. The only (sort of) good easter egg in Starfield is this annoying blonde idiot.
