@@Aethuviel True, old Elf didn't wait for thousands of years to have someone help his beloved Vale only for a random woman to make fun of his long forgotten tradition. Serana's still awesome and I get she'd have no idea, but she was being pretty disrespectful, or rather highly arrogant. (Plus, she's a nord, no less, who's ancestors are responsible for the near Extinction of his race to the point they went to the Dwemer)

I could listen to him talk about absolutely anything. He could read a lecture on the advanced anatomy of mudcrabs for ten hours and I would listen to it all.

I provoked some of those combat quotes by resurrecting Vyrthur and letting him battle my followers. Gelebor stands by the Wayshrine, looking pissed and cursing at Vyrthur. (Sure takes some balls to call the Arch-Curate an "infidel".)

Arch-Curate Vyrthur is located on the balcony through the inner sanctum of the Chantry of Auriel.

Imagine if Gelebor met Yagrum Bagarn. Maybe the two final men of their races could make amends at the end of their race’s history.

I wish we could learn more about him and the snow elves

This character is fascinating

So if it's possible that there are more Snow Elves hiding, then does that mean that there is a possibility there are females as well? I'd imagine how it would be if Gelebor meets another female Snow Elf, and she insists of procreation.

@@ladyselin35 We don't know what their vows are. A religion doesn't have to be a copy-pastes of Christianity/Abrahamism. That said, it's common for religious orders (of all faiths) to stay away from temptation and... "carnal pleasures", but when it's about the survival of their race, I think Auri-El would rather order him to do it, rather than not. :D (I know the Aedra don't have much in terms of active power)

Highly doubt it. Gelebor is a exception cuz he is blessed by Auriel to keep living while attending to the chantry. If there were any snow evolves after the fall that didn’t go to the Dwenmer have mostly either died out one way or another.

These guys are my favorite race of mysterious Mer, but odds are the only Chantry left is the one we find in the Forgotten Vale, all other Snow Elves are likely gone, either dead or perhaps if any escaped to High Rock, may have hid with some of their Direnni cousins and died out there, since inter-breeding with them wouldn't be all that safe since the Nords expanded over there not too much later.

@@Aethuviel True, I'd say that if anything, Auriel would certainly meet him in a dream and encourage him and a Falmer lady to procreate for the sake of a few Snow Elf babies to grow and keep their culture alive, even if only a little

(Or instead of breaking the empire even further and giving the Thalmor even *more* to overrun) I wish we could've done more with him. At least the game gives you reason to keep going back to Gelebor for Sunhallowed arrows.

With the amazing followers tweaks mod you can make any npc a follower and from the sound of this fellow he would make a great one I mader gabriel from the Dark Brother my follower but after the burning of the santuary she was warped from my side I found her dead in the santurary so use with risk.

I love this character, I would help the thalmor cleanse skyrim just for him to be able to live with other elves

The Thalmor wouldn't view him kindly. The High Elves viewed the off-shoot elves the same way for example the English used to view the Irish and Welsh etc. They're considered tainted, impure and inferior.

So is akatosh, aerial??? So does that mean u get akatoshs bow???

Well, Akatosh was "created" after Gelebor's time, after the Alessian rebellion (Nedes, the Imperial race's ancestors, overthrew their Ayleid masters). Queen Alessia was tasked with the order of creating a new pantheon for her Empire, and so had to unite the human gods of the Nords, with the elven gods, since she had both living in her empire. Humans hated Auri-El and what he represented with such passion, she would have to create a new version of him that appeased the humans, while still not alienating the elves too much. The result was Akatosh (the name Akatosh is derived from the old Cyrodilic language, even). A thousand years later, the Marukhati selective actually try to break Akatosh in half, separating him from the elven aspect (Auri-El), and accidentally create a dragon break that lasted for 1008 years. Some say Akatosh is actually an unholy joining of Auri-El and Lorkhan, or Lorkhan outright, since Akatosh sure acts a lot more like Lorkhan than he does like Auri-El. The bow is all the way from the Dawn Era (when there weren't really "elves" and "men", but rather old ehlnofey and wandering ehlnofey), then there was the Merethic Era for a few thousand years, then Alessia and her rebellion came in the third century of the First Era. I would look at Fudgemuppet's videos on Auri-El/Akatosh and the gods in general. They've made several videos on him and there's no clear answer, but it does make it make sense a bit more. Oversimplified, they (as well as Alduin) are several aspects of the same original spirit (Anu and Anui-El, or "Aka").
