Thats not immoral thats nature creating a balance because natural abors a vacuum. Nature/gods aren't technically on our side sure they can help us but they can also help by doing nothing. The dadric lords offer thier "help" for a price because even they in their twisted little ways are keeping balance ands thats all this is, balance.

Except his role is at the end of the world? Why is he always resurfacing before that. Both backstory and final of Skyrim has us sent him further away into the future with the help of Elder Scrolls. It's as if Akatosh threw him into time stream at random... or if somebody, who can control time, is screwing with Alduin;)

I love Fudge Muppet but I think they’re a tiny bit off on this one. Paarthurnax says that Alduin wandered off of the path of his true destiny. He tried to conquer and enslave the mortal races of Skyrim, not bring an end to the kalpa. I would say THAT, makes him evil. Not his true purpose.

Important to make a distinction between "he's not evil" and "he's not inherently evil". The role of World Eater isn't evil. The entity himself isn't very endearing, bit Alduin as an element of creation isn't evil.

Alduin has lost his path. He is like a dragonborn, who goes to do secondhand missions after getting out of Helgen instead of following the main quest.

Dragonborn doesn't have an ability as chosen of Akatosh to suddenly be able to kill *firstborn* of Akatosh. Go smack uncle Sheo once if you believe you can take on Aedra and watch the results.

He then will wait at the shores of windhelm where he will prepare to annihilate you with his "cloud district" shout once you meet again

I feel like his purpose is not evil at all, but Alduin himself got corrupted by lust for power and thus turned evil. When he was sent forward in time, the Last Dragonborn appeared to kill Alduin so that he may one day be reborn and fulfill his purpose. This might also be why the Last Dragonborn is called "the last", as only a Dragonborn can kill Alduin, and lack of any other Dragonborn in the future literally means an inevitable end if Alduin returns.

The Last Dragonborn defeated Akatosh who is Alduin to the Nords and Auri-El to the Elves.

Riddle me this Lore Master … Alduin was cast out of time by using an Elder Scroll. The Dragonborn uses the same scroll to go back to when Alduin is set adrift and then returns to the present time with Alduin and they fight in the present time. Soooooo ……. How is it that Alduin is in the story line prior to this at Helgin and at Kynesgrove?

@@dr.blockcraft6633 Interesting but I disagree. Why do you think Parthanax is waiting at the Throat of the World? He says he knew where Alduin would return but not when he would return. So he waited at the place Alduin was set adrift for Alduin to return.

Honestly in hindsight, the time of Skyrim is a nice place for the world to end. It reminds me of that fan perspective that Skyrim is actually a post-apocalyptic universe already. Every where you go, all you ever see his rot and decay; the knowledge/magic of ancient civilizations like the dwemer has been lost, the empire has been falling since the oblivion crisis, Skyrim is embroiled in civil war, and the Thalmor are nearing global conquest.

Was Alduin's Soul truly absorbed by sovngarde itself? Sovngarde seems very reminiscent of Valhalla instead of a rainbow bridge it has a whalebone bridge. I wish that the Champions we met there were more unique tsun is the only unique character there. Is Alduin the equivalent of the world serpent? My Norse mythology is Rusty.

Yes and no, Miðgarðsormr heralds Ragnarök but doesn't literally cause it. While not a one for one comparison, it's almost certain inspiration was drawn from Norse mythology. Satakal, from the Yokudan (Redguard) creation myth is seemingly drawn from the same inspiration and is arguably a better comparison.

Alduin may be loosely based on the serpent Nidhog (sp? I could do with brushing up on Norse mythology ad well). Nidhog lives at the base of Yggdrasil the world tree and is constantly gnawing and tearing at it's roots. Unlike Alduin, Nidhog never causes any real harm as far as I know but they do have some similarities.

I’m pretty sure the whole “Akatosh is three beings” thing is bs now since Alduin proudly refers to himself as the firstborn of Akatosh, also the other Dragons refer to him as brother, and only respect him due to his power. Not only that but we have zero proof that the Dragon Break that intended to separate Auriel and Akatosh was successful. I believe Alduin indeed has a role bestowed by the gods, and that the kalpa process is a much more metaphorical over literal and all happens in the same planet and cosmos.

Aka is three beings, as he birthed 3 shards: Akatosh, Auri-El and Alduin. Which are all three on the same level. Being the "first born of Akatosh" only means he is the first being to come to exist after time(Akatosh) started. His true "father" is not Akatosh but the oversoul Aka.

I noticed the last time I killed Alduin as he dies The black armor explodes off of him revealing What looks like muscle sinew made out of light. To me this signified the terrible shell He fastened around his Divine essence to give him a corporeal form. Possibly severing/hiding that from the rest of the over soul until his defeat in soveignguard.

The Elder Scrolls series, renowned for its rich and expansive lore, features characters that run equally deep. Among them, the Septim Dynasty holds a position of immense power and influence, with Uriel Septim V, the seventeenth emperor, being a particularly intriguing figure. Uriel Septim V’s claim to fame lies in his prowess as a warrior emperor. Upon ascending the throne in 3E 268 of the Third Era, he swiftly set about restoring the Empire’s military prestige. I would highly recommended you install two mods - KS Dragon Overhaul 2 & Dragon Combat Overhaul and then fight dragons. It's a whole new experience which will have you scooped up by giant talons, flattened on the ground by the powerful gusts of wind & running away from a meteor storm with your pants down if you're not prepared.

Alduin is one of my favorite characters in Skyrim, even though he is a villain and a world eater, he feels lonely and helpless to me, not like a bad guy at the bottom, and I am thinking of me When I temporarily wiped out Alduin with my most complete dragonborn power, did he get relief and relieve his pain?

Alduin defied the God of Time himself because he loved Nirn so much. He can hardly be blamed for the corruption that entangled his Dragon Priests. Clearly Skyrim mostly prospered under his rule, building cities that still stand after thousands of years of disrepair. Hey Fudgemuppet. I have a crazy question for you. What is the Number Room? And why is it mentioned in ways that suggest it is significant, but much information about it specifically is spars at best?

my Conjuration/Sneak Build is Werewolf Thief with master conjuration spells includes pets and followers: this build is pretty well rounded in the terms of magic and melee , in your human form you use different types of thralls to help you in battle if your caught by enemies or being a very sneaky thief and using Sneak attacks to kill your enemies., other side of this build is the Werewolf form which is complete melee and going fully berserk in battle, in your Werewolf form you can use your extremely enhanced Health and Stamina to maul your enemies, also you can use your wolf howls to summon more werewolves to help you in battle to make you even stronger. also remember to have a Followers and pets to back you up when your battling or even changing into your Werewolf form while your follower and pet distracts the enemies. the Game plan for this build is you to use sneaky thief to kill your enemies if you get caught by them than you use your Conjuration spells to help win the battle, if you have your follower and pet with you your last resort could be using your werewolf form to finished the fight while summoning more wolfs to help you against your enemies.

Got a question/video suggestion. Have y’all ever made a video about death in the Elder Scrolls? Death is strange in that universe. Think of all the factors that determine where a soul goes when the die. Honorable nords go to Sovngarde. Souls can be damned to Camarons paradise with a simple vow. And so many more. What makes death work that way? Is there an arbitrator or is each avenue of death separate from another while still beholden to each afterlife’s rules? Could be interesting.

Alduin's role as the World Eater is not evil, I agree. But him ruling over man and mer as a tyrant, which is HIS choice, definitely makes him evil.

I agree with you that his role as World-Eater is a crucial part of the cycle of Nirn. But Alduin has long since shirked his duty of ending the World in favor of ruling it. And the longer he spent as a God-King, he became increasingly arrogant, sadistic and petty. He rather reminds me of Melkor, a once-great being of near-infinite wisdom, brought low by pride and megalomania.

No, Alduin and Akatosh are literally the same person but different names with Alduin is the Nordic name and Akatosh the Imperial name and Auri-El the Elven name.

Hey Fudge, I just had a thought while in the shower. You said Alduin represents the end of time as an aspect of Akatosh. Essentially Alduin is the standard reset on the world. Without him this means without divine intervention the current Kalpa won't end. Well that got me to thinking; with Alduin now being punished and returned to the over-soul Akatosh now has a problem: how to bring the current Kalpa to an end. So, who is desperate, stupid, and manipulable enough to end the Kalpa without divine intervention? *looks west* Hmmmm... And it just so happens the Aldmari Dominion gets their hands on information that says if they shut down all towers of creation time and the world will end. I now think Akatosh has manipulated the High Elves into performing a "hard reset" on the world. They shut down the towers, the current Kalpa ends, the gods reactivate them, hello new Dawn Era.

Alduin is the first Time God created by Aka. Auri-El came after Alduin and then Akatosh.

Alduin and Akatosh are the same deity.

Alduin is a integral part of a Kalpa cycle which is a purpose he strayed from by trying to enslave mortals but The Last Dragonborn's intervention hasn't killed Alduin as he will return and all the LDB has done is set him back on his correction. That's just my take on it anyway.

Kind of off topic but didn't the Left Handed Elves and the Redguards come from a previous kalpa?

In the Craglorn arc of ESO, the Celestial Serpent's stated goal is to return the world to the state of the Dawn Era, similar to Alduin in Skyrim. It's possible that World Eater is actually just a title that certain powerful individuals could possess if they were powerful enough to actually end the world. If this is the case, then with Alduin gone, there could be a different World Eater chosen to end the current Kalpa.

What if Alduin’s return was provoked by Martin Septim’s sacrifice to defeat Mehrunes Dagon? What if the golden dragon becoming stone was the spirit of Alduin being released, to form a body two centuries later?

I always thought there is something fascinating about him and why I didn't think the way he acted is truly evil. I can only wish there is another way to cure his dark thoughts and to use him as the protector of the mortal realm when the Dragonborn passed away, instead of only casting his soul some place else.

For a while I've had a theory that the whole reason we ended up with things like the Oblivion crisis was because Alduin never did his job, the barriers between worlds are falling apart because the realm of mortals is continuing far beyond its lifespan and is becoming old and damaged.

I wonder if Alduin is at least partially inspired by Nidhogg? According to the Eddaic Mythos, one of the precursors of Ragnarok is the dragon Nidhogg chewing one of Yggdrasil's, the world tree's roots off; I can DEFINITELY see a dragon who's Divine purpose is to devour the world being at least somewhat inspired by it.

So the bow we get is the Dawnguard dlc is actually akatosh's bow.

Yes and no. Auriel, Akatosh and Alduin are three pieces of the same whole.

Saying Alduin is evil is like saying a lion is evil for eating a zebra. It is his nature. In a way I feel sad for him. He has no other Destiny. He has no choice. He is a creation of whatever forces made him and he has to fulfill his role

Essentially The Auri-El-Akatosh-Alduin Trinity is the same as the Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

A case could be made that Akatosh is evil, as he is the one that charged Alduin with destroying the world, and the one time Alduin doesn't do it, Akatosh creates a dragonborn to destroy Alduin.

No, he and Alduin are one and the same as he created the Last Dragonborn to destroy his corrupt version so he can fulfill his destiny as the Time God and destroy Nirn then create it again.

One thing I've always wondered is what would happen and how powerful would it be if the dragonborn sided with alduin. Miraak rebelled and got his shit rocked and obviously the last dragonborn was destines to stop alduin. But just take a second to think about the possibility of having Alduin as an ally.

I've had to come back to your Alduin related content recently. I had a thought i just can't shake. WHERE was alduin sent forward in time? and where did he come out? Did he see Paarthurnax prior to attacking Helgen? What might he have gotten up to aside from awakening Mirmulnir?

Alduin isn't evil,but a force of nature but he commited evil actions when he strayed from his purpose and needed The Last Dragonborn's intervention to correct him. Alduin will return but probably thousands of years after the events of Skyrim.

Sounds like something you should ask on Nexus forums or something similar rather than a KZread comments section, but I'd guess you'd want to look into quest scripting if you want the process to happen automatically. I don't know enough scripting to help further, so you'd have to look into that on your own. Alternatively, if you have the actor's reference ID and the target cell's editor ID, you can do the process manually with console commands. You can use the following commands: 1.《prid [actor ref. id]》 to "print" the reference id, which is basically just selecting the actor. I recommend you install the mfg console mod to make sure you have the right id 2.《coc [cell editor id]》 to send yourself to the cell you want to move the actor to 3.《moveto player》to move the actor to the player, who is in the target cell 4.《coc whiterun》 to teleport yourself out of the cell and back into the main Skyrim worldspace

I believe the events in Skyrim is the result of Akotosh extending the current Kalpa cycle. I say this because a dragonborn is someone who is gifted by Akotosh himself, and since Akotosh has bestowed such gift to a mortal at the time at which Alduin has reappeared, I can safely say that Akotosh doesn't want the current cycle to end, most likely because the cycle is not supposed to end yet.

Wrong, Akatosh in the Nordic Pantheon is Alduin the World Eater as he is the protector of the World as he did through the Dragonborns then he has to destroy the world to begin a new one.

Akavir doesn't support wi-fi yet, and the Draemora don't invade places in which they cannot watch fudgemuppet vids.

If auriel is an aspect of akatosh and he fought lorkan how come shezzariens which are an aspect of lorkan usually have the voice which is a gift from akatosh? Sorry about spelling
