We had to get him off tea duty at some point!
That brought back some fun memories. I really enjoyed working on Gummy.

Merry Christmas Pat 👍🏻
A very informative video, amazing how you stripped back 50% (well that it looks like to newbie) if the plane , shredded it’s skin like a snake 😅.

Hi Ranbir, once you’ve done a few you do get quicker and learn the common mistakes. You’ll enjoy the next video

And to you all, happy new year
all good there's no corrosion you're never gonna die in it ....
i like the frame but now i want to see the wing
in the old days the planes were cloth and the men were like steel , and they thought the plane made the dogfighter but now they know it's the man of steel flying from the clouds like "AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!" with whatever weapons or his fists , from an any plane too
aluminum foil could be the ticket for the size
I'm guessing that you would do a weight and CG check afterwards as there have been so many changes.

Hi Simon, yes all our projects usually require a full weight report submitted as part of the sign off process. Fortunately we two inspectors as part of our team
Just found your channel and working through the videos. Currently moving from PPL(A) to the microlight world and it all seems way more fun. The Peabee looks like great fun especially. I'm interested in how someone becomes a microlight engineer? Is this something you have covered?

Hi Mike, great that you've found us hope you continue to enjoy our content. The PeaBee is hours of fun. Its not something we have covered but is something your more than welcome to call in and discus with me/us anytime. experience of type is a big factor.
Interesting video, the skinning looks very similar to my Rans S6. Are you an inspector now Mark?

Hi Tom, yes I’m sure the process is very similar but I’ve not reskinned a Rans yet. Yes, both myself and Alan are BMAA inspectors.
flying therough the air at 60 mph nobody will notice if the body is a little crooked
Dacron vs Xlam -- why not redo in Dacron. How much better is Xlam vs Dacron for the cost. Not much of info out there. Cheers

You can still get Dacron skins and people do still use it, but Xlam is significantly better. Much longer life, significantly stronger even against hangar rash, easier to repair and noticeable reduction in Drag name a few do the benefits
Is there any grease or protector you can put on the nuts to stop the corrosion?

We use ACF50 on most nuts bolts and tubes, it’s very good for rust prevention and cure, but when possible we replace nuts washers as a default
