I never comment on videos but i had to this. My sons' mum and I are co-parenting and making it work. He has a nintendo switch and I my left my gaming pc there for his use. He loves watching Skylanders gameplay on YT. Managed to just about get rpcs3 working for imaginators but still unstable/crashes sometimes, no scaling and trap team was unplayable. As a dad I wanted to sort this for him so much, he's a top kid albeit lacking in confidence. I was getting really frustrated with rpcs3. I've used cemu in the past for Mario but all guides said you needed a portal to use it with skylanders. Then i stumbled upon your video.... Skylanders now at 4k 60fps...rock solid, no crashes. I cannot thank you enough!! You have given my son and I quality bonding time together when we both desperately needed it! THANK YOU!! may you never step on an upturned plug or a piece of lego hiding in the carpet again!!!

PS2/3 emulators are the definition of a headache compared to nintendo emulators. Idk why but i've tried at least 3, gotten some to work, and been like this is not worth it at all. W parenting on you though.

Thank you so much as a Skylanders Fan since 2011 it's been hard to find the mast skylanders I'm missing ( or pricy haha ) this mean so much to me. My younger self is thanking you a lot !

tell me about it. just about got though imaginators with my son bit trap team was just crash city even on lowest settings. Cemu was always a better emulator...4k 60fps buttery goodness as we start trap team!! So hyped to have a solution for him!

I know this is a very late comment, but is there a way to save your skyladners progress onto it so it's not the same reset one every time?

in cemu 2.0-47 the portal works how can i importr the custom setting of the Emulated Device Usb (the portal) so i can use the portal and the emulated one at the same time

I was trying to launch skylanders supercharges, at the beginning of the game it tells me that I have to connect the portal, is the process on this game a little different? Because I'm trying to open files in the supercharges folder while the game asks me to, but I can't figure out which file to open. I haven't gotten to the game yet when it asks me to insert the skylanders, but it actually asks me to connect the portal and I can't find the right file in the supercharges folder. No it's not make sure you have the version of cemu from my description, you have emulate skylanders portal checked and if your superchargers folder in skylanders folder is empty try download cemu again (from my description) it doesnt matter which "file" you open they're just skylanders

I can't get past the first level in swap force because the skylander keep respawning

i don't get it what do i need to select in that download

Hi I would have no clue how to make that because I also haven't really made this all I did was compile @joshuadereeper1069's source code for windows and made a video on it.

It worked but what about the creation crystal where can I find it?

Does the character pack come with every Skylander or do you have to download more NFC files?

You could but you'd have to constantly unplug Ur portal for emulated ones and plug it again for irl ones

Is it possible to make this emulated portal work for Cemu 2.0-50 or a recent update? When I play on 2.0 on Trap Team it has visual lines on water and some other textures. I dont know how else to fix it so I wanted to try using the newer versions but cant without this portal. Thanks

Hey, so, this was really nice and all! But I wanted to mention that the Blue Imaginite chests say that they've already been emptied any time I try to use them in Imaginators (I started a completely new save file and tried using one right off the bat to make sure I hadn't accidently used them, and I still had this problem) any way to fix that?

Yes you can emulate creation crystals there is a folder in Skylanders imaginators then creation crystals for them. And if you dump your Skylander it will be the same but be aware you can't dump imaginators.

All Skylanders are included in the Skylanders folder Bowser is in the fire folder and dk in the life folder

I think for multiple people, and if 4 persons wanted to play swappers, a vehicle, an expansion pack and a magic item. So that there are always enough slots

But I've caught on now, though I've got another puzzle for you: Would you be down to craft another tool like the integrated portal, but this one's all about tweakin level and money? I'm aware you need the Github wizardry (those cryptic code lines) to pull it off, so hypothetically... If I stumble upon it or you unearth it, you think it's doable to make it happen or a no-go? In resume: make another USB tool but for level and money.

You can already edit .sky files, you can use skyreader. Maybe I'll make a full tutorial on it later but there is a small tutorial in #faq of my discord server.

The swap force adventure packs don't seem to be working for me. They appear on the emulated portal and in game but the game itself doesnt register them in the collection and the new levels remain locked :/

Delete your current emulated swap force adventure packs and create new ones, but this time, change the variant ID to 8192 instead of 0. This works with magic items as well. From what I know, you only need to do this with swap force. :)

i had same problem, go to your skylanders/cemu folder and make a folder called games and put all games in there, it will be next to graphic packs, game profiles, controller profiles ect...

So the emulated portal of power works but why not a physical one? My real portal works on the latest cemu but not this version.

Skylanders need a few minutes for their progress to be saved and each Skylander had their own individual level.

For what its worth, Dolphin emulator has this working with trap team and also comes with all the skylanders built in. Plays the trap audio through speakers in trap team.

@@numberseven4972 Aye Im not a huge Wii fan myself, but I have keybound all of the Wiimote movements to up on the D pad (using wired gamecube controller), so I spam that and it does what I need straight away :D Just a fan of Dolphin for its stability and quality as an emulator, the guys did and continue to do a great job with it. Unless you mean there was other differences in the Wii skylanders ( I had it on PS4 myself ).

Does this actually work? Can someone tell me?

Does turbo charge DK and hammer slam bowser work this?

Yes Cemu emulates the Wii U which has them! They're also included in the Skylander files.

You don't need a keys folder you need to make a keys.txt in the same directory as the cemu.exe

It works fine with an emulated portal of power it doesn't have any portal issues.

I'm looking in the Trap Team part of the Skylanders folder and I can't find the traps anywhere. Does anyone know if they're located anywhere else or are they not in the folder?

Go into the skylanders folder then Skylanders Trap Team then Traps and they should all be there if not try to download and exrtact it again.

There's a video in #faq of my discord server but if you don't want to join that the gist is make a games folder inside of your Cemu folder and put the game there and add the games folder to your game path in Cemu settings

Well not much just this version of Cemu with portal of power emulation and preferably a controller but you can use keyboard.
