I like mute as a commentator. Might not talk as much as the others but he’s really technical. It’s cool to see

Sheik's gotta do addition a hundred times. Incineroar's gotta do long division twice.

The short hop over Shiek's kunais to then side special command grab was perfect timing for Skyjay @7:02. Waited patiently for it too. That is good timing to know when to take advantage of Shiek recovery and get a free command grab.

14:40 if void had a signature move it would be that double nair. i don’t know what it is about it, maybe because it’s pretty situational and you have to time the nairs differently, but it’s just such a clean little extension that makes a combo cooler automatically

Better player alert

Incineroar and Icies got buffed, and that played some role in them coming back. It can take a while for patches to show in the meta. Bayo is another example. But Snake and Peach never went away...they just stopped having reps in the top 10.

Skyjay and MuteAce have become my new 2 favorite players

Same! I’m a Peach/Incin main and they have a very similar play style. Poor speed but mobility is surprising, less so on Incins part but he has power to make up for it. Ultimate is about frame data, and he has the best of the heavies.

Nah it's like +1 for Shiek. Very easy for her to win neutral. Incineroar has to take a lot of risks just to get things going. It's still doable, though. Trades are your best friend.

looks almost 50/50 imo. sheik can out neutral incin with a lot of tools and probably get some gimps too but incin can also catch up really fast if sheik starts slipping up. revenge also helps with a lot of stuff, like when void tried to cover his ledge grab with sheiks up b explosion but skyjay started revenging it

Yeah man. She's so fun to play offline with your friends, as you can have all these wacky combos and not-true kill confirms. But on this level of play, I would have loved to see Void to go with Pika after Pichu was nerfed. I think, as mains, we agree that Sheik is trash-tier. There's many moments where you see exactly what void was going for, but as soon as Sky slightly adjusted to Sheiks options, he wound very simply answers against 'em. If you'ld give Downtilt->Upsmash a constistent kill-window or Backair slightly more knockback, you have a reasonably strong character.

In this matchup Incin can't afford to do much else. For every normal he throws out, Sheik can evade and throw 2 more so he just has to hit hard and consistently with specials.

This has to be a terrible matchup for Sheik. I mean, let's be real almost everything is a terrible matchup when your character can't kill but when all Incineroar has to do is spam revenge to get out of disadvantage and then land a whip. Lol Void must be a masochist. Also, there's no reason to not spam whip and revenge. What's Sheik gonna do other than hit you wit tha 3 dmg? Carry you across the stage which puts them closer to ledge and die at 50.

Nah. Skyjay has 20 hours of Mr. R practice and both agree this is Sheik favored. Void on the other hand does not have any Incineroar practice.

@@Sancnea Hmm interesting, I just don't see how Sheik is favored in this matchup. Like yes Sheik probably has the best neutral in the game so obviously they will win more interactions, but I still think Incineroar wins this 60-40 or 70-30. Main points to back that up are 1: Sheiks insanely low damage output. 2: Hard to kill with Sheik, no great stray hit kill moves other than maybe up smash but that's only after getting ~110 dmg. 3: Kill confirms can be shaky with SDI or just missing tight execution. 4: Incineroar has crazy damage output and super early kill potential with revenge and whip. 5: Sheik is hella light, Incineroar heavy. Sorry for the book but I like talking smash and honestly just curious how you personally feel about the matchup. Like do you think if Void had some matchup experience that he would've done better? I personally don't think it would've changed the outcome. Void knew what to do and what to avoid from Skyjay, but he still got caught and couldn't do anything about it. I just think Sheik is a bad character this game. I mean...they should be good on paper I guess, all that frame data. But in practice you have to do so much work for so little reward, and have to play perfectly. And nobody is perfect. Maybe Void should just play Young Link or something, someone with better kill options but still great mobility and frame data.
