In this scene. Severine completely dominated the whole scene acting wise. Her fake smile . Shivering fingers and lips. Fake laugh as she pretends to hide her fears. Its the finest acting i have ever seen from a bond girl in any bond movie.

Very true. This scene really hyped up the villain. & then we meet him & he actually seems somewhat pathetic, even though he is skilled. I dunno, maybe it's the casting job, but he just doesn't have a very threatening vibe about him at all. More goofy than scary.

I feel so sad for her . She took him to her boss to get freed but she still died .

Craig's Bond is definitely for adults, even with relationships with women. One of the most impressive, unique, and tragic Bond girls is Severine in Skyfall. We think this is going to be the typical stereotypical Bond flirt and seduction scene, but Bond takes his meeting with Severine in the Macau casino down a dark, realistic path. Such women are under the crushing control of someone...Silva in that case. Bond sees and calls out the tattoo on Severine's wrist that reveals she came from Macau's sex trade shops, and confronts her relationship of dependence on Silva. He's on a mission to get Silva, understands that Severine can get him to him, but also has compassion for the her. Rather than a romp, there is the tender shower scene on Silva's yacht, the Chimera. I love Connery, but Craig's Bond can be excellent. Superb performances and execution of the scene by all.

When Craig was first cast in the role of Bond I and almost everyone I knew who was a fan deplored the choice. Now when the topic arises I don't envision Bond as anyone other than Daniel Craig. Aside from Sean Connery, the rest are joke shop Bonds. Roger Moore was my previous favorite but the way he portrayed the character was, in retrospect, weak, and Pearce Brosnan is hard to imagine being a special agent of the calibre of a 007. He doesn't have the body for it and I could never see him fighting three men with the same level of violence and take him seriously. Craig lent extreme credence to the character with his stoney dark temperment and his physical fitness. That's the kind of fitness required of a man in his position.

The ship is also, the Chimera. This is a reference to hybrid creatures that are being created in Demonic labs underground. Mythology is rife with these creatures as well.

I never tire of this scene. Severine’s jewelry, gown & performance are all top drawer. Love her!

....in my opinion i thought everything about her was camp....and not good camp...too much of everything...i wanted to like her however i thought she was overwrought like they didn't quite know what to do with her so they just piled it all on....

This scene is one of the most mesmerising ever in a bond film, the acting superb by both, their chemistry, timing, subtlety, and sheer talent produce one of the most extraordinary scenes ever made. Her performance is SO real, you feel her fear, you feel her terror, from only her body language, expressions, and soft voice. That is exceptional, she could teach so much to so many in Hollywood just from that 5 minute master-class. Bravo Berenice Marlowe.

She is very impressive in this performance. Look for example at 3:57 when she says "I don't think so" in fact the character is half thinking that Bond is not capable of helping her but something deep in her subconscious makes her believing in part to him... and in effect the actress splits her face in 2 different expressions for a second ... wonderful!

Bérénice Marlohe who plays Séverine has everything for her : beauty and talent, she appears to be a lovely and gentle woman in every interview she gave. Wish we could see her again on screens.

"someone usually dies" "perhaps you can..." her response having a double meaning is amazing

The genius of this scene, to me anyway, is the line from Bond “Someone usually dies” and then it turns out that she’s the one who dies. It’s tragic, subtle foreshadowing.

A phenomenal actress in an exceptionally well written and directed scene. It's strange how often you see a version of this and it doesn't quite sell as true and all those versions are rendered terrible when you see it done absolutely perfectly.

I love how Marlohe behaves as Severine is asked about her employer at about 7:00 or so. A very slight catch of the breath as she draws in her cigarette, a more noticeable shaking of her cigarette hand... Severine is **terrified** of her boss and almost completely hides it... almost. Good bit of acting there. Damned shame that Severine didn't make it through the movie **and** that Berenice Marlohe hasn't caught on more in the US.

She is literally breathtaking. Perfection

Craig's acting in this is amazing!

"Very nice to have met you, Mr. Bond". The way she says that, she did not expect him to survive.

One of the henchmen Bond fights at the end of this clip, went on against Ethan Hunt and August Walker in 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' in the bathroom fight scene as the fake "John Lark". He is portrayed by stuntman Liang Yang.

I don't understand at all why Berenice isn't an A list actress! She's phenomenal in this scene!

Her performance when Bond reads her is absolutely phenomenal! Her eyes and twitches really convey her fear of Silva, just amazing!

One of my very favourite scenes involving a "Bond Woman". The playout between the two is mesmerising as is Severine herself. Lush and detailed, just draws you in. Would loved to have seen more of her character. She's gorgeous "If you like that sort of thing" Liked Moneypennys interaction with Bond too during the whole scene. Delightful!

Impeccable acting.

A really great scene. This incredibly beautiful and yet tragic character is portrayed so beautifully by Bérénice Marlohe....Danial Craig's cold lizard eyes and Bond's complex motives throw smoke and fire into the mix. It is brilliant film making. Bond's ruthless faith in goodness, and Severine's unshakeable morality imprisoned by forces beyond her control make for fantastic watching. It's a theme that has been used before many times in Bond films, but is electrifying here.

Wonderful acting by Marlohe in my opinion. She’s underrated as one of the most beautiful Bond girls. She probably would rate much higher on some lists had she not had so little screen time in the film.

I know that people are praising her for her acting in this scene, but Daniel Craig’s acting in here is also absolutely incredible !

Bond raising his glass to the bodyguards is one of the most badass things to ever happen in film.

One piece of great acting of her part was that look of vengeance but also hope in her eyes when he says “bring me to him.” That subtle quiver along with the slight grinding of her teeth, such a great scene and acting by both of them

One of the best written, best performed scenes in the history of Bond. Her acting is AMAZING

Bérénice Marlohe played Sévérine. Very talented and stunning. I really hated seeing her die in this movie. And Naomie Harris is my favorite Moneypenny in the whole series. She’s the first one to demonstrate her field agent skills, as a bad ass deadly MI6 agent, but not quite 00 material. And she’s way hot too.

Severine actress was marvelous and so convincing. Underrated for sure.

A truly amazing Bond girl, a shame her time was cut way too short.

Her acting here is superb. Her giddiness @ the thought of someone potentially killing this man who has kept her under his thumb for so long, you can see the joy in her eyes at the mere thought of it. And then as she's about to get up, she pauses for a moment to contemplate his chances, & then says "Very nice to have met you, Mr. Bond", as if to say that he's done for. Fantastically done. Bravo.

Me: My god, James. What did just happen here? James Bond: The circle of life. At 05:58, i laugh so hard when Bond stops and points at the Komodo Dragon like saying: "Dude, wait, look at that"

Phenomenal acting by this woman. Unbelievably good.

Bernice is brilliant in this scene - one of the best in any Bond film. The acting is excellent. Confidence and then vulnerability. Lighting, set and direction also stunning. Can watch this again and again.

For me, this scene emphasizes how much under control Severine was by her master. From the way she dressed and carried herself: you get the first impression that she's assertive and a classic femme fatale, only out for herself, all the way up to the hair: so elegant, not a single strain of hair out of place. Superb performance by Bérénice Marlohe. She's fantastic.

Daniel Craig is the best Bond ever. Takes you down the path of darkness and fear with a boldness that sends shivers down the spine.

Second only to Vesper among Craig’s Bond girls. She deserved a bigger role, this was the most memorable scene in the entire film. That beaming but fragile smile cuts through you

Sean, George, Roger, Timothy and Pierce look down at the fight scene: Sean: (as Craig falls on his back) "Well, Oddjob shhlammed me on my back, but sho did Pusshy" Pierce: "Never let the briefcase go when about to fall; Did I let it go in Bilbao? 4 floors down!" Timothy: "Oh I did that handgun recognition trick first, piss off!" Roger: "Well and I walked on several crocodiles, not one; the trouble is, there are never more Komodo dragons around when you need them" George: (as Moneypenny saves Craig) "This never happened to any fellow"

Severine and Tracy (Diana Rigg) are my most favorite Bond girls. They are both very beautiful and talented.

These are some of the best action movies in cinema history. Thank God for Daniel Craig. He was born for this role.

Masterclass in scriptwriting. Amazing acting. I just wish the audio department didn't make it so hard to hear what they were talking about.

I love Bond during the fight, like 5:30, with the turn and point, like 'Oh yeah, wasn't there more than 1?" Such good comedy. Severine is stunning, her whole acting conveys everything, fear, desire and longing for freedom
