Do you really see more objects in the sky with the Z2 ? Better than naked eye ?

absolutely. We live where there's no light pollution and can see the stars very well with our eyes but the IR can see soooooo many more and much earlier too.

@@justcindi Great ! i am considering buying the Z2, mainly for observing wildlife, but the possibility of watching skies will be anawesome bonus ! I am hesitating between the 3x30 and the 4.5*40 though. Since the 3x30 has a wider field of view I presume it is better in terms of gathering light, even if the diameter is smaller ?

mine is the 6x50 and it has the biggest "field of view" as far as the sky is concerned. A lot of times, I set it on the tripod and just let it record and it picks up a lot of things moving in the sky :) I also capture very faint meteors too :)

also... The settings I use for sky watching: Use slow or 8 fps, No illumination, and 1080p. I use b&w setting, and set your focus as far out as you can clearly. These will give you the best results for seeing satellites, meteors, dimmer stars/objects.

watching the night sky and listening to the frogs is pretty cool. Keeps you calm. thanks for that.. 🙏👍

I don't have a choice on the background serenade lol That's why I usually mute it and play music instead lol It's noisy out here in the sticks!

I got my new IR camera just a few days ago. Looking at this is a great joy to just see someone else's capture. I'm still learning how to use it.

@@arielmaqueira1892 Hi! I have a Bushnell Equinox Z2 6 X 50. I recommend HIGHLY! I've had mine for about 4.5 years I think and it still works like the day I got it! I can see so much in the sky with it! And I use Stellarium online but there are plenty of other apps out there. stellarium-web.org/

those are actually not tree frogs they are the big ones. The bull frogs get up to a couple pounds heavy! I was about 75 feet from the pond. They were drowning me out lol.

# 13 👍🏻 Hey Cindi nice captures, I've got a couple of questions for you please, first how do you know if it's a satellite or not? And second question is, is there any good settings on my night vision to help cancel light noise? I burned out two sets of batteries, just trying to get past the light's. We loved the video, Christy wants to know how you can sleep with those frogs? THANK YOU CINDI❤💞💖💕

First turn off the illumination. Set it where there's an x over the little light thingy. Also, go to stellarium web and put in your location and you can zoom in and it shows you the satellites. Or there are tons of satellite tracking apps out there. So if what I see is in the right place at the right time then it's a satellite. Most of them are. I've been doing this a couple years and you just get to know what is/isn't satellites. AND Christy, our house is well insulated and we can't hear the frogs inside.

I have used it before for viewing on a tablet but I don't know if you can use it for recording. I upload my footage onto a laptop and edit from there.

What time will the frog legs be ready? Good video, the magnitude of the satellites is pretty bright.

We gig them around here. It looks like a giant fork. There's a place in Ohio called The Houston Inn and they are famous for there all you can eat frog leg buffet. I don't know if it's still there but we used to go eat there all the time when I was young. :) the ones they served looked like chick legs if they were the breaded ones.
