He would have been alive if the security forces did their job better. How they left out a nearby building so close to the stage is pure incompetence or willful malice. Sadly Trump was shot at and survived purely by his luck. And even more sad that people got gravely injured and one person died. The secret service lady head made this situation possible. Now I am hearing that they were not even real secret service agents but pulled from some other agency or division, and so they were not equal to secret service even though they were trying to be.

The problem is, men are bigger, faster and stronger. The best people are men. Absolutely there is a role for women in protection details, but the front line is never it. It is why there are no women operators. There are plenty of valuable women in support roles in special operations, but the tip of the spear is the domain of men.

I agree. I was raised to believe in equal opportunity. If a woman or man is qualified then she/he should not be excluded based on gender, age, race, sexual preferences, etc. If they don't meet the qualifications, especially for this line of work, it should be "thank you for your efforts but sorry." This DEI crap is forcing companies to hire lesser qualified people just for the sake of including people who wouldn't otherwise be getting the job. Insanity!

Embarrasing. I am a woman, and I will say they are to short and not in fit shape to be secret service. They need to go do some exercise. She was more worried about her sunglasses and his hat. Granted trump doesn't make it easy because he doesnt listen, but a 5'4 woman trying to cover his 6'3 front is ridiculous. The other ladies were out of shape. Come on now. First of all, do a little bit of research before you start casting aspersions. The female that had trouble with her holster was not a Secret Service agent, but an FBI agent. How do I know that, because on the close-up video you can clearly see that she was wearing an FBI badge, which means that she is not on the security detail, but was probably someone in the area providing assistance to the Secret Service.

When you are over 6ft tall with a heavy build, a female secret service agent who's barely 5ft tall isn't gonna provide much cover from a gunman....Its not rocket science

My daughter is 5ft tall, she is one of the first female FO’s in the US Army. She also made Staff Sgt within six years of her enlistment. She’s tough as nails. She has had to fight hard to overcome the reality of being a woman in a man’s world. I’m beyond proud of her… but she doesn’t belong there IMO. That said, as long as the job is open to her, she will give 110%.
