Personally, I also use the terms: • Dragonfly (person with 5-8 wing-levels) they hang out in small groups, though are usually found alone like actual dragonflies! They also aren’t as decorated as ikemen, like how real dragonflies have a very general shape though some are different colors or different sizes. They go here and there, exploring their environment to see if there’s any unexpected nooks and crannies to explore. • Butterfly (referring to ikemen and derived from the term ‘social butterfly’) they hangout in large groups, where one goes the rest follows. They are colorful, always unique and each varying in different ways even if some look the same. They also know where everything is and follow a set “migration pattern” (AKA candle run) Just thought I’d share! (• u •)b

A friend of mine who speaks Japanese likes to refer to winged lights as feather children 🥰

A young friend of mine called winged light children Babies. So you collect babies or you find a baby. I found that cute. :D

Fun fact: In the old days before we all call them cr(candle run) we usually call them farming and farm

Some more that would help moffies: • Kreb (crabs) • Krill (Dark Dragon) • Chibi Fall (method used to go out of bounds) • Oob (Out of bounds) • Rocket (friendship emote glitch used to rocket upwards) • Ult (Ultimate Rewards)

You missed few ways to recharge your wings: - besides the butterflies, players can also go to the flock of birds or mantas - there’s also clouds. You can crash land into them and while you bounce back, it also recharges your wings. Side note: It’s sad that veterans don’t have a cool name in the game. ^^;

What i love about the game is most ppl r really kind and helping,(as the game is meant to be,) especially towards newbies

I'd like to add something! It's the chevrons :> it helps you collect candles faster. The more chevron you have, the faster you get candles, vice versa. But once you ran out of chevron, your skykid will get tired and it'll be harder to get candles because the wax will turn into a small amount (tiny waxes). The amount of chevron you have can be seen as tiny arrows (looking upward) on the up left corner of your screen! 1 arrow equals 5 candles! Hope it helps!

@@rethdoraken1012 "skykids will get tired" is a term when they ran out of candle chevron. We made theories that due to collecting too much wax, it will completely exhaust them and turn the waxes into small pieces because they're tired already ^^

Moths are also called Sparrows by some people because of the brown cape looking like a sparrow's wings owo Wing is also less formally known as flap, wingflap and the stars on the cape is also less formally known as wedges as well as flaps.

I’ve been playing for awhile, but I’m really shy and tend to keep to myself but I’ve been wanting to get more into interacting with other players and this was pretty helpful. Also as far as honking goes (I just call it calling), I’ll typically do 1 call as hello or a thank you for someone sharing their light with me because I can’t get to a thank you emote fast enough, but I’ll spam honk if I need help with a door/need light or if I’m dealing with crabs.

I’ve been playing Sky for almost two years, and I have always called and heard the quest giver called the “home spirit.” Me and most my friends called the cake candles “big candles.” Was a long time before I heard them called cakes. Never heard the term “Ikemen.” The rest is pretty accurate for me.

Sidenote: In the realm with daily candle cakes, you can find 4 daily cakes. Also, not all moths honk a lot, I have seen a lot of quiet moths who very hardly honks, and I too was one when I was a moth. I kept thinking why veterars were so loud lol

Me, starting fresh on switch after getting every spirit on mobile: hello, fellow moths

As somewhat of a new player (I've had the game for less than a month I think), I always call Wing "stacks" of Winged Light or just "stacks" I see the "call" as a sort of echolocation that can not only replenish the energy of fellow players but can also alert other players to come assist with something, whether it be a large darkness plant or a two to four person door I call wax "light" that is collectable from both candles and darkness I learned Candle Run and Eye of Eden Run pretty fast, those are easy to remember I love the chibi run so much, I can't wait to get that mask so I can run like that I have a few Ikemen friends And of course one of the first words I learned was "krill" for the Dark Dragon

So I was different moth then, I casually avoid others and I only found out about honking to find the objective with the pop up guide and then I just fly alone everywhere discovering myself it took me awhile to reach the valley of triumph, got lost in Isle of sanctuary. Somebody just help me drag me somewhere and I'm confused didn't honk alot. After awhile I figure out how the spirits and elder works that I keep coming back in some earlier place if I miss something. I started since switch launch because I notice the launch trailer and curious to play it got sunk into it for hours then everyday. Currently reborn twice now, I panicked and start killing me inside for my first Eden. Its hard to find friends even in games lol

You can also recharge by standing in/near the "remains" of a Winged Light (like after you collect one, you'll see a sparkly outline of where the WL once was)!!

There’s also one more but it’s spoilers so beware: Krill The creatures in golden wasteland and Eden, do not let them see you, if the blue light turns red, it means they spotted you or another player so beware, they are about to attack, they take your winged light. Getting attacked by them would be to get “krilled”

Another word Oob/oobs Meaning: Out Of Bounds Places that are out of sky's boundaries or left by the creators of sky(TGC, That Game Company) for us to explore, or left unintentionally.

so i'm going to add things as i watch since im noticing some things. (im a nintendo switch veteran(been playing since little prince when it first released on nintendo switch)) edit: yes this is self proclaimed and it does work because i played since switch launch. a true veteran played since mobile launch way back when it first released. 1. for honking i also have 2 more the second idk how many other people use A. honking to your friends to get their attention B. honking to confirm your friend has picked up wl (during a wl run) 2. questgiver also known as: A. season guide (if it's a season quest giver) B. event guide (if it's an even quest giver) 3. candle cakes are also called candle stacks or stacks (as they are a stack of candles) by some players including myself 4. ultimate gift is also called ultimate reward or for shortened "ult" 5. anything left out, my thoughts or notes: other than the three in the pinned comment, that being AC (ascended candles), veteran, and oob (out of bounds) i can think of maybe two more. that being TGC related items (doesn't really need explaining), or non returning items that are exclusives, like the astro cape, kizuna ai colab pack, and all the aurora iap's (these are the only ones ik off the top of my head)

U should make part 2 for elder, asendent candle, season candle, trade, veteran, etc

Honking also serves the purpose of long distance communication! Oftentimes, a single honk is used to find other players, two honks often means "come over here" or "where are you?" and three honks is usually either "help that person, I can't!" or "where are you²". Frantic honking is almost always used in dire situations and most commonly used in Golden Wasteland and Eden.
