My only pet peeve is the fact that so far it seems the Brigatine is the largest ship you can get, the thing that had me most excited for this game was that man o war that female pirate captained in the older trailers, i want my floating fortress, hell a frigate will do i just want a big boat, that mission where you sailed the Revenge was always one of my favorite missions in AC4 BF

I think that boarding should not be a cutscene during PvE. As in PvE you should just be looking for fun and levels. Which is different from PvP, where if boarding is at all a thing, it should be a cutscene in case there is more boats closing in you don’t have to worry about a time crunch.

I’m going to wait. I still feel like people are giving this game to much hype for a heavily watered down black sails

My opinion is that everything I watched of the skull and bones beta is great and the game is more than ready and it is definitely ready for release as to anything else that can be done in the game can come out in future updates.

I think you guys have a good heart when it comes to the constructive criticism that you’re giving Ubisoft but I believe everyone is being too soft on them this time around. Or maybe I’m the only one that thinks this but am I the only one who is perplexed why this is taking place in the Indian Ocean? Like why? I don’t get why that was even a thought? Cause when I think of pirates I think of POTC, just like AC4. As well as the ship types and classes. They seemed to have completely scrapped out the frigates and galleons from the other gameplay trailers years ago, probably because Indian pirates didn’t have massive ships to sail around in. And where is the exploration? The game just feels hollow and stale. Some people say that this game is meant to focus on naval combat and they’ll settle for a game like that but you know who fast this game would plunge from release day count to 6 months? It would practically be dead before a DLC would even drop.

@@themagician6310 there is more ships in the actual game, in the beta there are limited ships likewise with other customisations. There are meant to be 12 ships from what I’ve heard

Dude the Indian Ocean has a TON of pirates. Look up the spice trade from India and the Spanish treasure fleets from the Philippines. They all went through the Madagascar Straight. There were more Pirates on Africas east coast than were in the Caribbean until 1712.

The game will be a massive fail. I wish i didn't play the beta. What a massive letdown. The people were expecting so much from this game, yet Ubisoft fucked it up. Half the game being fetch quests for wood and rock, instead of being able to cut trees and mine ore with your pirate, they lock you on your ship playing a stupid minigame over and over. If people thought, after a naval battle, to board an other ship to get extra loot, that is a cutscene without the player's control, again, locked on your ship. Then finally, we expected to be able to explore an open world, what we got is an explorable ocean full of loading screens, a ship you can't even walk around on, islands you can't explore, and if you can get on some of the islands, you're stuck in a tiny zone with 1 chest you can grab without anything else to explore or do, or on an outpost with shops for cosmetics or crafting, where probably on full release the shops will be filled with microtransactions. What looked like a game that could have been a realistic open world pirate simulator/rpg, became an arcade world of warships knockoff or an Assassin's creed black flag without all the fun parts.. Ubisoft forgot to put the fun part in the game. The naval combat is ok, but that's also the only thing there is to do. I quit my 6hour beta after 1hour due to being bored. I'm not buying this game, at all. Oh boy this could have been so good, yet became so bad. It's astonishing they spent 150million dollars on something subpar like this.
