If Ubisoft did what fans wanted from the start then they would have given us a rival to Sea Of Thieves. They are now two completely different genres of game with the only common denominators being that they are both based on pirates. A better comparison to Skull And Bones would be World Of War Ships. I can't believe they are going to charge 60 bucks for a glorified mobile game tbh

Pirates game vs pirate simulator 😅

The fact that they did not compare, combat with weapons or fists should be enough

And this comparison is all done with a Sloop with no crew on SOT. Should have had it with a Galleon with a full crew to compare, but then that would just be overkill. And I belive all the music in this is from SOT as well.

A pirate game where you can't even swim. Absolutely pathetic.

Graphics on sea of thieves and the lighting are hands down loads better than Sink and Burn

No, and you cannot combat on foot, board really a ship, explore dungeon and fight other player or monster or npc, you don't explore all the isle you want but only the mini hub the game directly you, the resource you take is like a mobile game....is not a game of piracy is a mod of World of Warship.

I prefer SOT ships than Skull and Bones. Why? Because you can tell you are sailing a ship. The delays, the planning of navigation, the weight the troubles you have to treat the ship. The way you manage each turns, move the sail around just to get the maximum speed. It feels like a ship, each guns felt meaningful as each hits cause the flooding. Which depends on who ever have better damage control when it comes to ship v ship combat. Boarding is also possible and effective as you can kill the whole crew and spawn camp them. Besides, SOT have better adventure than S&B. I mean does Skull & Bones ever let you sunk The Flying Dutchman?

Praticamente hai fatto la differenza su due giochi differenti e di molto: 1 è un vero gioco di pirati, l'altro un mod di World of Warship. Su SOT puoi eplorare isole, nuotare, combattere a piedi, camminare sulla tua nave, abbordare le altre navi, etc etc etc. Su Skull and Trolls o SCAM and Bones puoi .....combattere contro le altre navi, FINE. Come fai a fare differenze su due stili di giochi completamente differenti, dove uno è un gioco di pirati, l'altro un mod di World of Warship, no spiegamelo. TRAD Google: You basically made difference on two different games: 1 is a real pirate game, the other a World of Warship mod. In SOT you can explore islands, swim, fight on foot, walk on your ship, board other ships, etc etc etc. On Skull and Trolls or SCAM and Bones you can.....fight the other ships, THE END. How do you differentiate two completely different styles of games, where one is a pirate game, the other a World of Warship mod, no explain to me.

Skull & Bones was supposed to be Ubisoft's answer to Sea of Thieves! It was meant to be an apples-to-apples comparison. SoT with better graphics and atmosphere. Stop defending it.

Reading some of these comments, I've concluded that Ubisoft and other triple-A developers get away with shallow and uninspiring productions because there are people out there who will always buy them and convince themselves that they're good products. Nevermind the braindead gameplay mechanics! So long as the game has pretty graphics I'm set! C'mon! This is why the Western video game market is in the abysmal state that it's in! Stop supporting publishers that give you less than what you deserve!

Exactly. So far the only justification I've seen from people who say Skull and Bones is better is that it has "better graphics" but having good graphics means nothing if the game is shit.

Skull and bones is going to be ass nothing about it is like real pirating it's a call of duty of pirates.

Apples and Oranges to me. They both great. Only S&B isn’t even out yet.

Clearly Sea of Thieves is the game that goes for the more cartoonish feel, yet it is Skull and Bones that has the most arcadey combat.

ten filmik jest do dupy. główną różnica miedzy tymi grami jest to ze w SoT jesteś piratem, a w B&S jesteś statkiem piracki, w Sot musisz fizycznie się poruszać po statku by manewrować nim, strzelać, naprawiać, B&S bardziej przypomina jakieś world of tanks. jak już porównujesz bitwę statków, to weź w SoT napadnij na inny statek, a nie jakieś widmowe, bo to nie jest to samo jak możliwość położenia przeciwnikowi masztu czy bordowanie statku. przy kreatorze postaci to w części o SoT pokazałeś wybór postury postaci, a nie całkowity możliwy jej kreator. już nie mówiąc o innych kategoriach porównywania, prócz tego ze B&S ma ładniejsza (realistyczna) grafikę i to ze statek jest sztucznie zaludniony to nie ma nic ciekawego do zaoferowania, jeżeli ktoś chciałby popływać jako pirat to może w to grać, ale jeżeli chciałby zostać piratem który może zejść ze statku by robić eventy i żyć życiem pirata to tylko SoT. ENG this video sucks. the main difference between these games is that in SoT you are a pirate, and in B&S you are a pirate ship, in SoT you have to physically move around the ship to maneuver, shoot, repair it, B&S is more like some world of tanks. If you're comparing a ship battle, attack another ship in SoT, not some ghostly one, because it's not the same as being able to take down the mast of your opponent or boarding a ship. in the character creator, in the part about SoT you showed the choice of character's posture, not the total possible character creator. not to mention other categories of comparison, apart from the fact that B&S has nicer (realistic) graphics and the fact that the ship is artificially populated, it has nothing interesting to offer, if someone would like to sail as a pirate, they can play it, but if they would like to become a pirate who can get off the ship to do events and live the life of a pirate is just SoT.

I had sooo many friends against SoT because of how it looked and played.. it still holds to this day as one, if not the best pirate style game with free roam. I haven't played SoT since 2020 and I played the beta of Skull and Bones and decided I rather jump back to SoT.. Downloaded it again but it sooo much different from what I remember since 2020(aka nothing to do really lol)

I wouldn't say Sea of Thieves was a hot mess at its release. It was just... empty. You could have fun, there was just nothing really to get to and that was the problem. But they changed that relatively quickly and since then there have been updates that have even changed the game world in a sustainable way in terms of storytelling. But Skull and Bones took so long to develop and for that it's just a giant mess. It's become a worse Assassin's Creed Black Flag and that's embarrassing after all this time. I think it's cheeky to charge full price for it.

I’m with you my dude. There is a lot that S&B does a lot better than SoT in terms of graphics, character creation, ship design, animation, attention to detail and most importantly, pvp and pve. Player and enemy combat in SoT is just downright awful, especially if you’re a solo player and have no interest in pvp because you have to run around your ship, firing and reloading your cannons and making repairs to the hull and bailing water all while trying to keep your ship pointed in the direction you want it to go. Whereas in S&B, you can manoeuvre your ship and fire at enemies at the same time. How you carry out repairs to your ship I don’t know, I imagine that it’s down to the AI of your crew or gathering supplies and loot from defeating enemies. All of what I’ve said is why I think S&B is going to be a really great alternative to SoT because I do everything I possibly can to avoid combat with other players in SoT simply because of how bad it is, you need 4 players to play with all the time in that game. S&B is going to be so much better and pvp will be a lot more fun and enjoyable.

You BARELY showed any clips from a REAL Sea Of Thieves ship battle. What about treasure hunting? solving puzzles? map reading/ x marks the spot? The water? ocean effects? underwater kingdoms/ temples/ caverns threats? like snakes, skeletons, boss battles, sharks, megalodons, Krakens, other players, etc. buried treasure, sunken ships, message in bottles, etc? Quest boards, stories, bounties, etc.

not fair, skull and bones should compared to world of warships

Sea of thieves tried to portray it as bad and incomplete as it could.

@@finalphormphil8241 The ships dont act according to the waves. in sea of thieves a ship goes up and down over the waves like its a hill wich is very accurate. ships also lists sb and port on the waves. in skull n bones the ships just do this same bop all the time slightly up and down. regardless of wave size and and shape.

You can't swim, you can't steal treasures, you can't enter in a battle FPS after boarding, bacause the game don't have a boarding mechanic, the gameplay is repetitive and make me feels in a "battle royale" game. To be honest, tha game is boring... To say "Sea of Thieves is like a CSGO", you don't play the game to enjoy the experiences that you have after understand the game objective. Try another one, with patience.
